Overbooks his patients and so does his sister Shazi. Oh, and he shares his DEA license with dr's who lost theirs for some reason. Search his name with "St Louis" and you should be able to find the federal site link talking about the charges against him. All this family is interested in is generating large sums of money for themselves. Azfar facebook page is about showing off his foreign sports cars he's amassed. He doesn't care about his patients past how much money he can build off their problems. I hope the feds confiscate his sports cars for being the crook he is. You've been warned.

Met Malik before he was a big deal in St. Louis psychiatry(late 90's) He overbooked his patients and always arrived 2-3 hrs late to even start seeing patients. When my time came round, I'd spend my time asking how he could treat his patients this way and he'd sit there with a smile on his face. Started seeing his sister an she was hardly any better. I started ECT treatments in '08 and our paths crossed again and he was again always hours late to an office full of patients. I only made it thru 7 treatments before I stopped because he was such an inconsiderate piece of work and also I wasn't feeling better. If you could see his facebook page before he got busted sharing his DEA credentials with another corrupt dr, you could see what motivates him. It's his high $ sports car collection. He didn't get into this business for anything more than build massive FAMILY wealth. It's apparent he'll do anything to make a buck. Stay away from anyone named Malik in St. Louis. Their reputation is trash to anyone who has dealt with them for any length of time.

I was one of his first patients in 1986. I saw him for years. I confess I was not an easy patient at all. The psychiatrist before him fired me. Dr. Malik is a founder of CenterPoint Hospital. He is a wonderful doctor. Yes, there are times you have a long wait, but it was always worth it to me.

DR. AZFAR MALIK IS THE WORST PHYCIATRIST IVE EVER HAD SINCE 1992 WHEN I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH BI POLAR AND SEVERE DEPRESSION. HE IS STILL TAKING NEW PATIENTS AND CANT KEEP UP WITH THE ONES HE HAS. IVE BEEN GOING TO CENTERPOINT OUT PATIENT PROGRAM FOR 14 YEARS AND IN THE LAST 4-5 YEARS IVE BEEN UNABLE TO GET ALL MY MEDICATION REFILLS SO I COULD STAY MED COMPLIANT, BECAUSE AS HE TELLS ME," DONT EVER RUN OUT OF YOUR MEDICATION ITS VERY IMPORTANT YOU TAKE AS PERSCRIBED.) I WAS NEVER MED COMPLIANT BECAUSE I COULD NEVER HAVE ALL MY MEDS TO TAKE BECAUSE OF HIM NOT REFILLING WHEN I'D CALL A WEEK AHEAD OF TIME BEFORE I RAN OUT!! HIS STAFF WERE ALWAYS KIND AND THE THERIPISTS WERE AMAZING. ESPECIALLY JENNIFER R. I HAD A TOTAL MENTAL BREAK DOWN IN FEBURARY OF THIS YEAR. TO WHICH IN MY 14 YEARS HAS NEVER HAPPENED , I FELT I WAS SWEPT UNDER THE RUG, BY NEW PATIENTS AND HIS LACK OF BEINGING PROFESSIONAL AND COMPETENT ENOUGH TO SAY I SHOULDNT TAKE ANYMORE CLIENTS,I HAVENT SEEN SOME CLIENTS IN A YEAR OR MORE AS MY CASE. I TOLD STAFF I WAS FILING A MEDICARE FRAUD COMPLAINT ON HIM.. HE WOULD CHARGE MEDICARE FOR A 50-55 MINUTE SESSION WHEN IN FACT WAS A 5 MINUTE . ALL THE CLIENTS HE HAS /HAD ( HES NO LONGER WITH CENTERPOINT OR PHYCARE CONSULTANTS) MEDICARE SHOULD OF CAUGHT ON TO THAT, HES SPENDING 50 MINUTES WITH EACH PATIENT? NO POSSIBLE WAY!! I HAVE ALREADY TOOK THE FIRST STEPS IN MAKING MY CLAIMS AGAINST THIS DR. AZFAR MALIK.
MENTAL HEALTH IS VERY IMPORTANT , AND WE SHOULD NEVERHAVE TO BE WITHOUT PROPER CARE AND BE HEARD. INSTEAD THE ALMIGHTY $$$$$ IS A BIGGER DEAL TO HIM. WHEN I SAID MEDICARE FRAUD TO THE NURSES, HE CALLED ME WITHIN A DAY... UNPROFESSIONAL AND INCOMPETENT... TO SAY THE LEAST..

my daughter released from Center Point hospital. Having severe side affects from a med dr. Azfar Malik put her on. We have been trying to get in touch with him and/or his staff for 2 days. NO ONE HAS CALLED us back. Mental health in this country is absolutely horrifying. We had great hope in this Dr. but now we have no hope once again.

This Dr is a nightmare!! He will give you prescription but good luck getting a refill. Staff leaves him messages but he still ignores the refill request. It causes great stress. I have had to detox myself off of Meds because I could not get more. He is very dangerous and could cause great harm to his patients. I sat in the office 3 hours past my appointment time. He makes excuse after excuse. His ego is huge. Dr. Azfar Malik needs his license revoked for malpractice. Stay away if you are looking for any real help.

Do not go to this Dr if you have any serious mental issues. He doesn’t order meds on time. It’s a nightmare! He’s late with appointments and cancels frequently. After many years he still doesn’t know his patients. His ego is bigger than his caring. Talks harshly with patients. I’ve seen mothers crying because they can’t get prescriptions for their sick children at his office. He treats his office staff horribly.

Dr. Malik seems kind when I’ve met with him but he often sends my prescriptions to the wrong pharmacy and also doesn’t prescribe all my meds almost every time. THEN I have to call the office and wait at least 30 minutes before anyone answers and talk to very unhelpful staff. They don’t seem to pass my messages to Dr. Malik because I have to call on a daily basis for weeks before anything gets corrected!
