Dr Lukela is thorough and all around incredibly awesome from an RN with 40 years experience and long term patient along with spouse!!

She's superficial and a judging person. She's late and in a hurry when she enters the room. As another patient had mentioned, I was also scolded for coming in to see her when I had some chronic issues.

Let me first apologize for any semblance of snobbery in this rating. That being said, I chose Dr. Lukela solely because of the Harvard and Duke degrees identified in her posted bio. Indeed, she resembles the epitome of an Ivy League alumni stereotype (don’t be surprised to find her clad in argyle socks and loafers). Appearance, however, does not intelligence make. Thankfully, it doesn't take long to realize she possesses the entire gifted package. The woman is amazingly brilliant. If that were not enough, she has a way of incorporating her intellect with a comforting bedside approach. Who knew doctors like her actually exist? As for my obvious pomposity, it’s a known character flaw that I truly am working to eliminate!

Really, really good at tracking issues across visits, understanding what you are saying, checking previous paperwork to see what previous doctors have said and explaining some of their methods. Far more thorough than any other doctor I've seen, and recommended by numerous people I work with. Pelvic exam was quick and reasonably comfortable--I've had better, but not by much, and far, far, far worse.

A great doctor. Very thorough and helpful. Seems to genuinely care. At my first appointment with her, she noticed things that no other doctor had ever brought up with me which helped me to understand my fertility issues.

ALWAYS seems in a hurry upon entering room and when doing exams. Seemingly superficial caring. A physcial allotment is 45 min, she took about 25 and did not scan my moles as I had asked. Very limited hours, cannot see her unless it is a long standing appt. Scolded me for coming in once. I felt embarrased from that.

I find her extremely attentive, responsive and kind. She is very thorough and tries to get a wholistic view of what is happening with her. I will also say, she is the kind of person with whom I would want to be friends with!
