She is a very cold person and has no bedside manner whatsoever .
She took less than 5 minutes to examine everything over my whole body.....I did not feel comfortable whatsoever.
I was absolutely appalled at the way she just scanned me, like I'm a piece of paper literally, and then she said "yes you're fine that's it. Not once did she smile.

I see no sense of warmth or human empathy.
stay away far far far away!!!

I’m 47 and have had all different injectables and procedures done on my face for years. I’ll travel wherever it takes to go to a good doctor. I’ve had a few experiences with Dr.C, which were all sub par and I’ll never go to Dr. Callaghan again. One was for Botox, I’ve never been injected in such a way, not gentle at all, fast and jabby. The I had a full body yearly mole check that was the fastest and most lax I’ve ever had, literally she had me stand up, she scanned me head to toe, had me turn around, did the same and said, yep you’re fine! And left after being in the room 2 minutes, no exaggeration. The final and last straw was I stupidly agreed to vbeam which scarred me for about 4-5 months and once again, she swept into the room with no explanation, zapped me and left. When I looked in the mirror I was horrified. I was told I’d be a little red, where I looked like I had cigarette burns on my face for months. Be aware. Some of the PA’s are fine and nice, FYI.

Worst Botox I ever had and most expensive. I will never go back. She and her staff were doing a Botox promotion at a Spa. I was sitting in a chair and Dr Callahan kind of "took aim" and gave me a single injection of Botox in the middle of my forehead for $400. I felt like a dart board.

Dr. Elizabeth F. Callahan's response
We apologize for your experience, although we do respectfully believe you may have us confused with another provider. We are a medical practice, not a med spa. In our office we never perform only one injection; there is a minimum of five. Dr. Callahan is a platinum injector and travels across the country and internationally to instruct other physicians on how to perform a handful of treatments. Our treatments are never rushed. Dr. Callahan is very precise. She performs a full face map customized for each patient to determine how much product is needed and where. We always discuss with each patient their particular plan before injecting. If you still believe it was our practice you visited please call us.

I had a very unfortunate experience with Dr. Callahan June 3, 2016. For over 10 years previously, I had been getting Botox or Dysport injections in Orlando. Having relocated to Sarasota, I decided to book an appointment with Dr. Callahan. After being injected with Dysport I was left with one eye that was hooded and an elevated brow that will most probably remain until the effects wear off in 3 to 4 months. I have received Botox or Dysport injections for many years every 4 - 6 months and only ever had one other negative result (which I informed Dr. Callahan about at the time of my appointment). I was completely shocked when quoted that my forehead and crows feet would cost $645.00 for 129 units. As I had driven over an hour to reach her office and had an important upcoming event planned, I reluctantly agreed to the treatment. I told her that was 2 - 3 times more expensive than I had ever paid previously She casually said that she'd heard that before from other patients which I found a little troubling.

The day after the injections I had 3 or 4 large knots on my head that were not helped much by keeping them iced throughout the day. I had a Wedding to attend that night and was very embarrassed about my appearance to say the least. Previously at my former Doctor's office I was always iced during and immediately after the injections which is obviously more time consuming. Dr. Callahan did not ice me at all.

In the weeks that followed my left brow got higher and my right eye hooded in appearance. I contacted Dr. Callahan's office about a month after the appointment when I was seriously concerned and embarrassed about my appearance. I also sent her an email and photo.

Dr. Callahan personally phoned me and I explained repeatedly that I did not wish to be injected any further because I was advised it could make it even worse. She explained that she could fix the problem as she had easily done on herself and husband. I told her that I wanted a refund because the treatment had disfigured me. Instead she offered me an array of services that she offers such as fillers etc. She even offered to give me a future Dysport treatment at no charge. With all due respect, I declined and asked her why I would I want to accept that offer?

When it was evident that I would only accept a refund, she said that she would need to see me in her office. I feel that request was designed as an inconvenience and hindrance to providing me any refund. She was happy to to offer me complimentary services without asking to personally see me, but for a refund that would be required. I would need to travel all the way to her office wasting at least 3 hours of my day, considering the distance and time for appointment.

That truly would add insult to injury.

I don't want to look as if I had work done, but I want to look better. Dr. Callahan is a true artist with a needle. I wouldn't trust anyone else to inject my face.

I found Dr Callahan and her nurse at the time of my service to not have an ounce of empathy. I have a severe needle phobia/panic attacks. I spoke with reception on booking and was assured that would not be a problem for the staff or Doctor. They handle this problem all the time. That was not my experience at all. I was made to feel like a 2 year old, the doctor leaving the room in a very rude manner which prolonged the panic. Would not recommend her for any services. Mainly I think they are just for expensive facial products and procedures. Compassion is no where to be found in this practice.
