After being a patient for a year, and 6+ visits, my CPAP machine started acting up. I stopped in to have the PA check the settings just to make sure that I hadn't accidentally done something to mess them up.
Let me say that the staff has always been courteous, helpful and professional. Andres is very competent, friendly and relatable.
So I stopped in see if Andres could take a look at my machine to see if I was going to need a new one.
I was informed immediately by the receptionist (whom I had never seen in the previous 12 months and 6 visits that I had made there). that they "didn't accept walk-ins and you will need an appointment. " If you look up the word "rude" in the dictionary, I'm pretty sure that you'll see this blond woman's picture next to the word.
I informed her that "I" didn't need to see anyone, that it was my CPAP machine that was sick. She insisted that I HAD to have and appointment to see anyone and that walk-ins weren't part of their "protocol".
So, I left and found a new doctor, but in the meantime I still needed to get a CPAP machine that worked until I could see my new sleep disorder doctor. I found a place online that sold them but the website said that I needed a prescription to purchase. I called Dr. Rampertaap's office to see if I could come by and pick up a prescription to purchase a new machine. Once again, I was told that the ONLY way to get a prescription was to make an appointment....blah blah, blah.
I told them that this made little sense. I can call up my PCP and get a refill prescription for my potassium citrate called into the pharmacy but I can't come by and pick one up for a CPAP machine??
This office smacks of money-grubbing and the blond woman behind the window needs remedial courses in professionalism and customer service. I'm done and moving on.

So the good news is I don't think this doctor sees patients anymore, I think just his PA does. The bad news is that's 2023 and the same issues exist. The only thing they care about is money. Overcharging. The office manager is extremely rude. I was told they did not need me as a patient and i should find another doctor after I had paid over $1000 for tests that I still did not have the results for. Their offices are old and their sleep lab horrible. The bathroom in the sleep lab area worse than most gas station bathrooms. No worries I did not go back. Stay clear. There are way better choices.

As other reviews have indicated: This shallow clinician's main goal is to pillage Medicare. Its an absolute tragedy how Medicare is actively abused by such dishonesty and fraud.

This particular clinician maintains a non-caring disposition who is mainly concerned with repeating uneccesary inflated fees in an effort to over charge Medicare. Forget about genuine concern for his patients. Its non-existent. Dishonesty is his MO - Don't waste your time - Don't allow him to abuse the Medicare system!

I was a new patient and didn't know what I didn't know. He referred me to web sites (they all were doom and gloom with little to no hope for my diagnosis) and told me to come back with any questions I might have. He was never forthcoming with information to put me at ease.
Tests were done and that again pointed to a worse case scenario. I was prescribed a high priced medication and sent on my way. After 2 second opinions it turns out the prescription was not necessary and the results from identical testing turns out my lungs are functioning far better than he implied. I also had issues with how insurance was billed to "insure" the medication would hopefully be approved. I honestly felt my insurance company and I were being scammed.

I am a new patient. I called to get the results from an at-home sleep-study. A clerk told me my O-2 level "looks OK" then asked me to hold. I waited, and waited, then realized the call had dropped. I wondered if the clerk terminated my call, because I tried calling back and have not received a return-call from this office. I'm really in a desperate situation with my sleep, blood pressure, and breathing, and fear I now have to begin all over again with a different doctor. What IS it with the lack of concern for patients, these days?

The so called Doctor and his staff were all rude, standofish, and cold aside from one young woman who obviously really needs her job or would not be there. The ‘Doc’ was extremely cold, rude, arrogant, and a know-it-all who bad mouthed my other Drs. And seemed interested in only finding a need for cpap users and manybreathing and sleep tests , but not the one needed! They do anything needed to bring you back to repeatedly bill your r ins-for in this all-in-one ‘sleep center” racket of a practice! Last but not least, they billed for several procedures and vaccines never done or given! Beware! Run don’t walk!

He schedules 8 patients an hour! After an hour and half wait I was finally seen for all of 5 minutes! Ridiculous!

This was the worst medical experience of my life! After a sleep study (two nights sleeping in the hospital) I was prescribed a sleep apnea machine. A year later when I needed a replacement tube for the machine and was told by the doctors office I would need to make an appointment and see the doctor. Otherwise I could not purchase the tubing. (I had my primary care doctor write the prescription for the broken hose and submit it over the phone. . . without an appointment.) I later found the identical tubing was available at Home Depot. Also without a prescription. Five years later I now need a new machine as mine is not functioning, my healthcare provider told me it was not necessary to have a new sleep study, only to get my records from Dr. Rampertaap. I requested the records and was told there would be a three week wait as they were taking vacations! After three weeks I was told I needed to pick them up personally (a twenty mile drive). as there was a $1 per page charge. I picked them up, paid, and submitted them to the CPAP provider who informed me they were incomplete. For three days now I have been leaving messages for Dr. Rampertaap with no response. I realize this is a long note but maybe I can save someone the suffering I've gone through this last month waking up thirty times a night trying to sleep without the aid of a CPAP machine.
