I have been a patient of Dr. Belnap since 1999 and without his surgical skills I most certainly would be dead by now. I have had numerous complicated surgeries and have had surgeons at St. Mark's and IMC who refuse to operate on me in 2015. My family had to demand that the ICU at ST. Marks call Dr. Belnap who took my case immediately and had me in the operating room with less than the 2 hours I was given to live. This doctor cares deeply about his patients and treats the family with the utmost respect,

Dr Belnap saved my life several times now. He is always busy and unfortunately his office clinics are always a wait. He gets reviews based on people having to wait but not on his skills. Interesting to me??? I think I would rather go to the best Dr and wait rather than walk in to and be seen right away. I was told by an expert hepatologist that if I had surgery by anyone else, I would have died. Thank you Dr Belnap.

I have gone to him for hernia repair and all he cares about is me getting my weight off. They promise t call me back and then never do. I am still considering the surgery but DO NOT LIKE Kalila. She's very bossy and talks over you and the doctor when in conference. Dr Belnap seems a little scattered but two of my regular surgeons have referred me to him because he is the BEST IN THE STATE ! I hope so

I had horrible experiences with both IMC, and St. Mark's hospitals. I was downloaded to a care facility and was on death's door when I was able to connect with Dr. Belnap. HE transferred me to Salt Lake Regional hospital and operated the next day. He was not sure that he could pull-me-through, but after several surgeries and getting me the proper antibiotic for my Vancomycin resistant bacteria, my condition improved and I am back home after five months, and recovering well. I firmly believe Dr. Belnap saved my life and I am alive today because of his knowledge and skill. You have to wait for him when you're in his clinic, (Belnap Time) but he can do what other doctors will not even try. When all else fails, try the best.
BTW: Jennifer is no longer part of his staff. His staff is polite and helpful.

Dr.Belnsp is an amazing surgeon, a miracle worker. His office staff Jennifer in particular is extremely rude, and not very competent in her job. I would recommend Dr.Belnap to anyone just beware of his office staff.

After 5 years of research into Bariatric Surgery and Dr. B had the best most informative clinic on the WHY behind the need for this type of surgery. I am only 6 weeks out from my surgery and he has been attentive, concerned and answers any question I have. He is scattered but to someone who is pulled into so many surgery's, I am not surprised. I NEVER felt like I am not appreciated or that he isn't concerned with my well being. I am understanding of his genius and how it is in high demand. I would not have had this procedure done without him. I would recommend him a million times and then some. He is an excellent surgeon and has saved so many lives.
