Dr. Bottros has been my pain management doctor for several years now and has been amazing. He was able to bring my pain down to a manageable level after years of suffering. I had seen several people before him and was unsuccessful, however he spent a considerable amount of time trying to find the source of my pain (occipital neuralgia). I had previously been on a number of medications to help control this, and now I am on none! I come in for an injection once very 6 months or so that has taken care of my pain considerably. I have been able to finish my studies and am now working.

Dr. Bottros knowledge in pain management and surgical techniques is top notch. He has worked tirelessly to give me treatments that relieve my neuropathic pain (nerve damage). Once he spent triple the amount of time to reach the exact nerve root causing my pain.
He’s a professor at Washington University STL and has fellowship physicians at his side. Dr. Bottros collaborates with specialists across the US. He is busy as he spends additional time closely treating his patients. His practice is to tailor treatments without the long-term use of opiates. Despite resistance it truly is the best means for long term pain management. His practice partners with a psychologist as they treat the body and mind.
His staff work hard to assist but also communicating with patients.
I have found substantial pain relief through a B-Sci neurostimulator, low dose analgesic and cognitive behavioral therapy.

The way this office is run is terrible! He showed up an hour and a half late. I asked the nurse if that was normal and she said yes. Hope you never have to call the office. They are the worst! They require a 2 day turnaround but you will be lucky to get a call within a week, then they don't even bother listening to the message you left for them. So you have to explain every all over again. I've been waiting 4 weeks to date just to get a prescription for pain! They still won't call me back. They called me back exactly one time after I left 2 messages only to not have the first clue why I called. She was supposed to get back to me to get a new prescription. Crickets. Haven't heard anything since. I've left 3 more messages during this month-long event and still no one will call back. Apparently they are happy to leave their patients in extreme pain. I asked to have the office manager to call me back but again, nothing. I don't know what the heck is wrong with these people. I guess I need to schedule an appointment so I can chew him out, however, I don't have time to wait more than an hour for that. Plus you will get billed a facility fee even though it's just an office visit. I've never had that happen before - only a facility fee when equipment is used, not just for an office visit. So under no circumstances would I recommend this poorly managed place to anyone. He's a nice enough guy, but due to his horrible staff I will search for another doctor, especially since they have made it abundantly clear they have no desire to treat this patient. Maybe they have so many they don't care how many they blow off and don't return.

He is definitely one of the most knowledgeable and skilled pain management physicians I have been treated by. He doesn't give up, he tries multiple routes and he treats you with compassion. I now live in less pain and take sixty percent less medication through his treatments.
