This is going to cost a fortune. He orders tests and insurance won't cover it. I am supposed to take at least 10 different suppliments and go on a anti-gluten diet. Doesn't start on antibiotics until next visit which will cost another $300. Does this really work? I wish there was another way. Maybe a doctor in Connecticut?

Dr. Jemsek has given me hope for regaining my life when no other physician could even begin to diagnose me correctly. In the process of treating Lyme, he also treats the entire body by placing patients on nutritional supplements which actively support and strengthen the immune system. On my first visit, he spent 3 hours with me detailing my medical history and performing a very thorough exam. In addition his reputation as being one of the best Lyme physicians in the country, I was also drawn to him because of his tenacity and refusal to stop treating Lyme patients despite the personal and public attacks he has been forced to endure during the past few years. Dr. Jemsek has not promised me that I will recover completely, but he has pledged to help me as much as he is able.....what more could one ask from a physician?

I have seen Dr Jemsek for 4 1/2 years. He saved my life. He treats me for Lyme and various co-infections. When I first saw him I could not even walk due to the illness. Lyme is a very serious long-term illness. Dr. Jemsek is brilliant. He takes his time with patients. He listens and observes and prescribes meds judiciously. my recovery has been long, but I am almost back to normal. The four previous docs I saw could not even figure out what I had. I have done tons of research on my disease. While treatment for Lyme is debated, Dr. Jemsek does what other lyme literate doctors do, he treats with antibiotics. It's the only thing that works. Doctors that do anything less are in my opinion committing malpractice. Dr.Jemsek fights for his patients. He has always been there for me, even returning phone calls in the middle of the night. I couldn't ask for a better Doctor and feel extremelylucky to have found him.

Dr. Jemsek is a gentle giant, with superb knowledge of tick borne diseases. In my treatment he was aggressive with antibiotics yet used them judiciously. He was flexible and adaptable, with treatment protocols. He was relaxed and calming in appointments. The patient must play a role in the healing, when there is major disseminated infection. Therefore, his willingness to listen and hear both spoken and unspoken words was an additional quality. He and his staff have always been accessible and responsive to my concerns and emergencies, both major and minor. My punctuality rating should be 4.75 because if he was running late, it was never much, maybe five, or less frequently, ten minutes. He works with seriously ill people, and if he is to be thorough, he may need extra time if there was an unforeseen complication with a previous patient. That is ok by me, since one day it may be me holding up someone else with an unforeseen problem. Above all, I am better thanks to him.

Dr. Jemsek is AMAZING. I can't say enough positive things about him and his staff (especially Lyn, his IV nurse). Dr. J and Lyn are passionate and dedicated, caring and kind, with a great bedside manner and sense of humor. Dr. J's the most knowledgable physician I've seen in the 8 years I've been sick (I've been to over 20 speclialists trying to be properly diagnosed and treated). The 1st visit, Dr. J spent 2.5 hours with me and my dad, and each visit afterward he's done a thorough evaluation of how I'm responding to treatment. He's aggressive in that he will do whatever it takes to help free a patient from the prison of Lyme (and co-infections). HOWEVER, he's very serious about not letting a patient go too fast so they are miserable because of treatment side effects. He's extremely accessible, up-to-date on all Lyme subjects, and is without a doubt the biggest patient advocate that anyone could hope for. I've talked to other patients who are as grateful for him as my family and I are.

Dr.Jemsek is the most amazing physician that I have ever met.He is continuously advocating for the treatment that Lyme often needs and if misdiagnosed for a long time(me 12 yrs)then consider how tough improvement is.Some of the damage may already be irrversible. DrJ knows that because of current testing flaws that refuse to acknowledge the spirochete that the diagnosis is primarily clinical. He knows Lyme and co-infections and knows how to diagnose.I have been blessed by knowing this highly educated, loving, caring & dedicated man to treat me for the last 6 years.I KNOW my body and I KNOW that without his guidance, I would probably not me able to walk today or even carry on a conversation. Some ex-patients have said that they have suffered worse because of his method of treatment.Just like a lot of conditions, sometimes the adverse affects are better than the continuing damage and irreversible damage that the bacteria causes. His staff feels like family because they care about patients.

Dr. Jemsek is knowledgeable and caring. His clinic's efficiency and helpfulness is amazing -- the best I have ever seen. He has been terribly mistreated while trying to help people who desperately need help. He needs the support of his patients.

Dr. Jemsek DrJ for short is THE BEST!! Lyme an agressive disease hard to detect and treat. With 100's of symptoms also many co-infections.I too had Oral and IV Antibiotics,DrJ was Honest and Informative as to the reactions and side effects of the meds. DrJ saved my life and gave me back some quality of life.I too have seen PA's on DrJ's staff. One informed me about the intense training provided them when joining his practice. When I have asked to see Dr.J I did. He is eager to share any updates concerning Lyme. While there are persons who criticize DrJ,he continues fighting for his patients quality of care. Not very many Dr's establish a research facility! Not many Dr's use their talents to raise money to help patients care? So many Dr's give up on Lyme's Patients in dire need to find out what is making them so sick. Dr Jemsek is a Rare Gem. He never gives up on anyone. His passion, love and kindness shows in the tender way he cares for us all. A Mentor he is!Thanks to Dr. Jemsek
