My stroke left me unable to move my left hip, arm, leg and all joints associated with them. Dr. C. didn't pull any punches, and absolute honesty is a must with this level o f handicap. He and his therapy staff at Chelsea were absolutely wonderful. They guided me with creative and significant methods to maintain amd improve myself with the limited function I had left. Most importantly it comes down to the patient's meaningful participation in order to obtain any recovery. They provided a workable therapy structure and encouraged participation with great praise. I still have to work at improvement, but I would say I'm about 90% of what I was, today.

I found dr. Chodoroff to be condescending. He opened my initial conversation with him saying he had been doing 'this' since before I was born. He did a poor job of explaining his rationale for prescribing only therapy without having an idea of the structural issues behind my back pain. I would have much rather spent 1200 dollars on an mri than on 10 weeks of therapy that did nothing for my back pain. At this point I will be seeking help from somebody who will be a little more thorough in investigating what is structurally causing the pain. His manual test took about 10 seconds. I also feel like he used my answers to his arbitary questionaire to try to disprove to me verbally that I still had pain, even though I was telling him directly that I did not feel better. It was a very frustrating experience.

Very knowledgeable. Will leave no stone unturned when trying to find answers. Very professional, but with good sense of humor and a wonderful "bedside manner". Which to me, means he doesn't talk down to the patient, he's not afraid to say, "I don't know, but we will figure this out" and he trusts the patient as well as his knowledge and years of study.

I have been seeing dr. c for years and find him knowledgable, helpful, and kind. His staff is friendly and the office itself is very clean. I never have to wait very long. If it is an emergency, i can usually get in to see him very quickly. i would not hesitate to recommend him to any of my friends.
