Had spinal fusion L4 L 5 S1 in 2007.Dr Kaplan gave me excellent odds 80 percent success. Reality is negative 100 percent. He made it seem that surgery was the only option and I would be better than new. No biggie. I could not walk without a walker for a month , needed assistance with even personal care needs. None of this was told to me prior to surgery. Went to physical therapy and his spine strengthening center for over 6 months. He has no explanation for this other than my back was more complicated once he opened me up and did all he could do! Have been on disability now for three years. This surgery ruined my life.Thanks for nothing Dr.Kaplan

Did a great job with two surgeries. pleasant but does not spend much time with you

After cervical fusion on two levels, still have same pain as before surgery. Dr. Kaplan orders lots of MRI's, myelograms, CT scans, says everything looks great! Sends me off to another doctor. How come all the tests show he missed something he said he would/had removed? He's puntual, but you only see him for a couple of minutes, then he's OUTTA THERE!

Had neck surgery done 6/09 fused C3-4 & C6-7.Dr kaplan wasn't even going to fuse 6-7 until I spoke up about what another Dr had said about pain in my left arm.Still having problems ,after further tests showed problems with C5-6.Dr Kaplan answer plates & screws look good from his surgery.Trusted Dr to help me instead am still in pain & have been written off.When you talk to Dr kaplan you see him maybe 3 mins before he rushes out,Was fast to operate but not fast to fix problem.My opinion he wants to bat 100 & if not then your written off to pain management.Thanks for nothing Dr kaplan

Dr Kaplan did a microdiscectomy on my lumbar spine. The results are fantastic!! He is a very talented Neurosurgeon. I would recommended him highly without any reservation. His office staff are great.
