HORRIFIC TREATMENT ! ! ! I would not take a rabid dog to be put down in this office...let alone a family member. You NEVER see the doctor...only Nurse Practitioners. At 4:00 PM we arrived on time for my wife' appointment. At 5:30 we were escorted to an exam room where my wife went over all her medical issues with the Nurse Practioner till 6:00 PM. She was then supposed to then receive her a, "free yearly physical". I was told I would have to leave during the exam even though my wife of 38 years requested that I stay. At 6 PM I went to wait in the lobby. I was tired and fell asleep waiting. At 7 PM the doctor's office closed. I awoke at 8:20 PM in the dark in the lobby. I went looking for my wife and found a nurse leaving to go home. We went looking for my wife and found her still waiting in the exam room. They had finished with my wife's exam at 6:20 PM and told her to wait for blood work...but had forgotten she was there. SHE HAD BEEN ABANDONED FOR 2 HOURS ! When I found her, they said she could go home, but I reminded them she needed blood work. They had forgotten that also! They then took her blood, but forgot to take enough blood for the A1C test, the most important test for a Insulin Dependent Diabetic. Later we had to go back to give additional blood for the A1C test they had forgotten to do, and to also go over the results of the physical. We were charged for a second visit, so I reminded them that the physical was supposed to be free, and they had forgotten to take the right blood the first time. They said that the physical was free, but to the get the results cost because a second visit was required to go over the results with the doctor...but we never saw the doctor!. They also coded the blood test wrong and I received a bill for hundreds of dollars from the blood testing company, and eventually a collection agency came after me because the doctors office never corrected the coding. Except for one or two exceptions, the whole office are, idiots, liars and thieves and should be put in jail...especially Naghavi.
During my physical I pointed out my left leg which was swollen to one and a half times the size of my right leg and had open sores with yellow fluid dripping out of them. I was given an order to get my ACL checked. As I walked out in the hallway to leave, a nurse saw me, turned around and gasped, "My God sir, what you doing about that leg?" That is stage 3 Lymphedema. That could turn into blood poisoning. You could loose your leg!" So much for a physical! I was 58 at the time and they didn't even do a prostrate or hernia exam.
My final visit was supposed to be for getting a referral for a sleep study. As usual, I never saw a doctor, only a nurse who took my BP and listened to my heart and said 60 beats a minute was too slow and I needed an EKG. She left and a tech came in, took one look at me and said he didn't know if they could do the test because I was too "hairy" to stick on the sensors. I told him to shave off the hair, but he said he didn't have a razor. I told him to go buy one from the drug store in their parking lot, but he said he couldn't do that. He then called another tech/nurse in who said, "Just stick it on him and see if it works." The tech ran the strip, left the room for a few minutes and came back. He said the doctor said I needed to see a cardiologist. I asked what was wrong and he said he didn't remember exactly what the doctor said, but is started with a "B". You heard right...this was the tech handing out serious info and having no clue what he was talking about. I asked to see the doctor again to get a better explanation, but was refused and was told I would get papers explaining it. I refused to leave till I saw the doctor again and was left in the exam room with the door open. I started chatting with a lady patient waiting in a exam room across the hall. I told her about my wife being forgotten and what the tech had just said. The lady was horrified. Just then a nurse heard me talking and came around the corner, told me I would need to wait in the room, and closed the door, but I opened it and continued my conversation. A few minutes later a woman about 40-50 with black hair, came and said she wold escort me to the lobby. I refused to go til I saw a doctor to get some answers. It was then I realized I was talking to Nancy Naghavi. I asked for a explanation and was told I would get paperwork, but I wanted to know hear from a doctor. She said she was busy with patients and had no time and would escort me to the lobby. I followed her to the lobby and she then left, giving me no more information but a handful of papers.
Due to my complaining to Family Care Plus Clinic, I eventually received a letter from Dr. Naghavi stating they would no longer see us. This place needs to be put out of business.
