Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital

Under staffed!!! You are sitting on the toilet 10 to 15 minutes too long by the time someone comes in and help you. It may not seem a long time, but when you are in pain, it is. Doctors come too quick, claims to put in an order for medication and forgets to do it and then you develop infection, fever and cold chills. I have never seen this kind of service from any hospital before. Never! Truly, I will never come back here again and I will recommend people NOT to come here either.

This hospital has good ratings for fewer deaths because they patient dump. If you, at any stage of the patient 's stay, chosen a facility for the part of a patient's they will transfer the patient there ON THE SAME DAY HE HAD SURGERY! I had gone home to sleep. They left a vague message on my phone. Couldn't find him at either location because he spent hours in an ambulance in a parking lot When they did transfer him to the new facility,they wouldn't let us see him. Any reserve he had left was used up that day. Of course he died within days. And Herman kept their record clean

I've lived in Katy for 11 years and visited this ER twice, unfortunately. The first was because my daughter had surgery at a facility downtown but when her stitches came loose, our family dr told us to drive to the closest ER. The staff didn't mind taking turns seeing the patient nude, but they all refused to restitch the gaping holes she had citing liability issues even though we signed a waiver. The second time I went to this ER, there were a lot of staff but they were mainly standing or leaning around, making sarcastic comments about many of the patients while my mother was being evaluated for high blood pressure and chest pain. After running a few tests they told her she was fine and she could go home. When I pointed out that she was in severe pain, they asked ME if I was shopping hospitals. I didn't even know what that meant, but I didn't like their cynical attitude! The way they treated other patients on either side of my mother was as bad or worse. I will NEVER go to Memorial Hermann Katy or any other Memorial Hermann Hospital again and I would NOT recommend this place to anyone who has any other option available.
