Very calming in an emergency situation. Read previous reviews but had no issues at all with billing. Would HIGHLY recommend.

Please see the previous review of surprise billing practices. His prices and billing are almost three times the industry standards and he refuses to contract with insurance companies instead trying to extract payments from his patients at an unreasonable rate. He is unethical.

This doctor is scamming patients for extreme balance billing practices. I went to an in-network hospital to the ER for emergency appendectomy surgery. I had met my insurance deductible and out of pocket costs for the year so I shouldn't owe a dime. Mr. Bransky believes he is paid too little by insurance companies per his office manager, therefore he chooses to NOT be contracted by hospitals in order to send his patients a surprise bill for the balance as an out of network doctor. This is called balance billing or surprise billing. If a patient unknowingly has an out of network doctor perform emergency surgery on a patient at an in-network hospital or facility, then they should accept the charges the insurance allows rather than scamming patients to get larger payouts. The doctor should also look at what insurance the patient has and if you don't like the patients insurance payout fees then don't perform the surgery. Don't threaten patients with reporting them to the IRS claiming it to be taxable income and use extreme collection threats when they were put in this situation unknowingly. Clearly as the service provider you have the upper hand over your unaware patients/victims. Sadly, your willingness to take advantage of your community by using these tactics should make people question your incentive regarding their care and what is morally more important to you. From my view point your morals and values are questionable. Beware of this doctor and his financial scamming practices.

This is more a complaint about his staff that is very rude, no manners or knowledge about Insurance policies. Unfortunately this affects Dr Bransky The only thing his staff and him knows how to do well is threaten patients to suit and take you to court and if you don't pay for some thing that I did not authorize, the outstanding balance will be reported to the IRS as a taxable income. ( You can't report to IRS some thing that you have not earned like in this case ). Poor knoweldege.

We didn't know a general surgeon, so the emergency room recommended Dr. Bransky when my wife presented with severe abdominal pain and a CT scan showed gallstones. The nurses raved about Dr. Bransky, and son we learned why. He's warm, patient and very personable. His resume (http://drbransky.com/) is very impressive. He gets our highest recommendation.
