Everybit of the experience with this doc was horrible. Her staff has no follow thru and constantly chasing them. Doc always behind schedule. And was dx with breast cancer in nov and still no surgery by Feb due to her changing plans for my tx and the lazy staff. Went to CTCA and got excellent emergent care They explained everything and had all resources available and surgery and treatment immediate
I have never been so disgusted by a doc that calls herself a breast surgeon. It’s a horrible dx and she careless/ no sense of emergency/ and not sure knowledgeable enough to b doing this

Horrible doctor. After an unnecessary second biopsy she did a lumpectomy. The incision was infected, but she insisted on a second surgery for DCIS. After seeing me a few days after, I was very sick, she told me I was doing great, but when I called the office back a few days later after finding 2 stitches left(one knotted) I was told to cut them out myself and hung up on. I have been fighting an awful breast infection ever since. My tumor was very small, stage one, but my breast is now half the size it was, rock hard, hot and painful. I wish I had Never gone to her,she and her staff are terrible. She claimed I caught the flu while in the hospital(PIPER/Scottsdale Health) during my 4 hour stay. I am now cancer free and sicker than ever!

I have nothing but the best to say about Dr. Bourne and her staff. I have had a successful surgery and moving onto treatment for breastfeeding cancer. She and her staff (Jami is awesome) made a difficult situation as smooth and easy as possible. When working with other Dr.'s re my condition and I tell them who my surgeon was they always responded positively. She is is terrific!

Dr. Bourne is extremely knowledgeable and very compassionate and patient. While dealing with a breast cancer diagnosis, she took time to explain all of my options and allowed me time to make the decision that was right for me. As a surgeon, she did a great job and is very well respected by her colleagues. Every time I mentioned her name to an individual at related doctor's offices, support organizations, they had nothing but praise for her. Her assistant, Nancy, is not the most helpful or patient. She gives very limited information on next steps or tests the patient needs and acts rushed or annoyed when they have questions. Because of Nancy, I almost looked for another surgeon, but I liked Dr. Bourne so much that I decided to ignore the rudeness of her staff.

Gave 100% attention to needs and concerns during appointments, pre and post surgical times. Responded quickly to critical phone calls including after hours. Excellent reporting of test results.

You will not find a better breast surgeon than Dr. Bourne! She is knowledegable, compassionate, explains everything to you, spends as much time with you as you need and is a genuinely loving and caring person. My husband likes her very much, too. Her assistant, Nancy, is such an asset to her practice. She, too, is kind and thoughtful. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Bourne.

Dr Bourne's receptionist Nancy was so mean to me that she made me cry twice, once on the phone when I was trying to make an appointment, and then when I got to the offece. Barking orders and demanding things, no compassion or even common courtesy. The Dr. herself disappointed me because I needed a lumpectomy, and she was insisting on doind a mastectomy. I went to her because I'd heard she was a good surgeon. But she just started showing me pics of post-mastectomy reconstructions, and I had to say again that I was only wanting a lumpectomy. I ended up having to have another surgeon do the lumpectomy, and I am glad that I did not give in to the pressure to have a whole breast removed!!
