This isnt so much about Dr Bartels as is it his office staff.. Rude is an understatement. My 2 yr old had a consultation today.. I arrived with my 2 yr old twin boys & 4 yr old daughter (who was having diahhrea). We were 11 min late because we had to pull over at a hotel so she could use the bathroom. When i called their office to let know id be a few min late, she told me if more than 10 min late wed have to reschedule. I pulled in at 1:09 and after unloading my car it was 1:11pm by the time we walk up to desk. The same woman from phone rudely told me we are too late and had to reschedule - Over that 1 minute. (As if we wouldn't have been sitting in the waiting area for another 5-10 min right?) We had been waiting 3 months for this consultation. And my poor boy gets ear infections literally every few weeks. Needless to say, i did NOT reschedule my sons consult here, however, when I called New England ENT and explained my situation, they gladly found time to fit us in for next week. I would never recommend a Dr office who has as little regards for their patients and any ER situation they may have, as this office did. It was not like i just left the house late and showed up 15 min late..my 4 yr old had to go diahhrea so i absolutely had to pull over..thus causing us to be 1 min past the "too late" mark.

Worst doctor I have ever been to. I went to another doctor to get a second opinion on my problem and he said that Dr. Bartels was completely wrong. I then went to a third doctor and he said that Bartels was wrong as well. I was also charged $250 for a 10 minute consolation; this guy is a joke. Don't waste your time with him.

Dr. Barrels was rude. Very abrupt with his service. He didn't explain anything to me. I left his office feeling worse than I did when I went in.

I have a perforated ear drum and now have partial hearing loss . I had the perforation repaired 20 years ago and the patch failed- this doctor wants to wait to see if it will "spontanelously heal". Also, thinks I may have damage to the ocular bone, but will see in 6 months. If it hasn't healed in 20 years, why is it going to heal in 9 months. Don't waste your time or money visting this guy All he cares about is Comestic procedures and it is obvious with all the literature in his office

I had a septoplasy/sinus surgery years ago by this doctor. My nose was perfectly straight before the surgery and after it looks horrible. Totally bent and misshapen. The dr. NEVER warned me my nose would be a different shape. I now have to have a nose job just to bring it back to my original shape. When I asked to have my records tranfered to my new ear nose throat dr. The Dr. had put in the Treatment plan that I was a self "picker" and made a rude degrading comment about it in the text. I would NEVER EVER go to this Dr. again and would suggest to anyone NOT TO. BEWARE BEWARE!

Dr. Bartles is the epitome of a great doctor & gifted surgeon. It is wonderful to find a physician who is also a empathetic specialist never rushing or patronizing in any way. If you have an ENT medical issue run don't walk into his office. His staff is equally personable and attentive.

Dr bartels did my tonsils as well as a rhino/septoplasty and I could not have been happier he is one of the best dr's i have ever been to, but its not just that he's a great dr when you really think about having a major surgery you have to remember that the office staff can have a huge impact on your experience. Every person I delt with was proffessional caring and as helpfull as possible I never felt like I was inconviencing them when I called a few times with questions after surgery they did everything they could to answer my questions and make me as comfortable as possible, including calling to check up on me once I was home. I can't say enough good things about this office I have had plenty of bad experiences with dr's who don't listen or are unorganized and it was relief to find dr bartels and his staff.
