I had my baby born there. Spent some time in the NICU. They took great care of my son and me. It was a right choice to go there.

I recently had to stay at Elliot and could not have been less afraid to have surgery. Every single staff person I had contact with were amazing. Each took the time to explain what to expect during surgery , the DR's not only had wonderful bedside manners but treated me like a person not as a number. The nursing staff were, by far, the very best that have ever taken care of me. As for the typically plain hospital food known to be terrible in most hospitals ,This is not the case here. The cooking and presentation alone could rival 5 star restaurants. Delicious healthy meals, several choices each meal and a very innovative way to order your meals.

I spent 3 weeks in the ICU. Very caring, compassionate and competent staff. If I rang the call bell, staff responded immediately. ER staff saved my life. I was near death and my prognosis was not good! They were excellent. I can't rave enough. The food was good, some excellent. They took care of every aspect of life. I am glad they are closest to my home. Nobody wants to be in a hospital but if you have to do so, go there.

Be very careful of this hospital for your health care. They are laying off so many excellent experienced staff who both provide care and run programs. Staff that have been dedicated for countless years of their careers. They are so very top heavy with Vice Presidents and Directors who are financial drains on the system, they are cutting into program leadership and replacing them with inexperience in order to pay for their salaries. Ask how many VP's they have for less then a 275 bed hospital....23 last count! Elliot once was a community hospital focused on the patient but the culture is now volume and revenue, the patient comes somewhere at the bottom of the priority list now. Go to Dartmouth or down to Nashua hospitals for services.

More of a pediatrician than an adult's doctor. Very low on patient empathy. Terrible office staff. Always in a rush. Intelligent.
