He is amazing neurologist. He saw my son with 1 months, and gave the diagnosis at first time. He is really professional and friendly Dr.

Dr Andrews is a fantastic neurologist for our daughter. He shows compassion and understanding for our daughter. I highly recommend him to any parent with a child with epilepsy.

If there was an option for zero stars I’d be giving zero stars. He is rude, arrogant and extremely unprofessional! Between he and the local paediatrician, they almost killed my daughter. Oh, and for a doctor to also make a statement “she doesn’t look autistic” just goes to show you how uneducated this man really is!
Don’t seek a second opinion though, you’ll be referred to the child protection unit. I only found that one out when reading my daughter’s records on her “my Health record”... oddly enough, I didn’t get that visit or phone call from CPU! Even they figured your referral was as ridiculous as you are... The sooner you move into retirement, the better off our children will be... You put children’s lives at risk and play Russian roulette for your own edits, it’s absolutely disgusting.
So incompetent and a disgusting excuse for a human being!

When we met Dr Andrews in 2005 our daughter was in a very bad way with intractable epilepsy we were at our wits end and had just driven from Brisbane to Sydney overnight cutting our holiday early after she suffered a cluster series of episodes. We had nowhere left to turn after being fobbed off with generic diagnosis and dead ends. Ian literally changed our lives and more importantly our daughters life. No there was no miracle cure (back then) but what there was was a genuinely caring knowledgeable and tireless person who never fobbed us up or gave up on the search for improvement. He was always accessible when we needed him. We owe Ian so much that we an never really repay or put into words. A wonderful doctor and human being.

We saw Dr Ian Andrews for my son. All he did was restate statistics over and over again. Didn’t come to a conclusion, couldn’t answer questions just kept stating the same statistics which did not help us understand what to do next or in the long term. He changed what he said from one consultation to the next. I never want to see him again and I will never stake my child’s life on him. I could have read the statistic from google. I felt extremely uncomfortable at both meetings and I would NOT recommend him. He was also 30 mins late to an appointment. If you see him record what he says on your phone. I have never walked away from a dr feeling more frustrated, angry, let down and baffled. Waste of time.

An amazing Dr, he has been supportive through our journey so far with our daughters condition. He was able to diagnose her very early with Dravet Syndrome. He listens to our opinions as parents and always makes us feel valued when making treatment decisions.

Pretty sure this is the right Dr Andrews so here goes. Saw Ian Andrews when he was a registrar at POW hospital back in 1985. My son was a new born and suffered an Inter ventricular hemorrhage, I was totally shattered, Dr Andrews was fantastic, working under Dr Wise at the time who was also the best. Dr Andrews kindness, ability to communicate what was happening in lay terms and listen to your concerns was above and beyond the call of duty even at this early stage of his profession. Even after we were discharged he would find the time to make himself available and check over Luke, or listen to my concerns. This man had a huge impact on my life and probably doesn't even know it. Luke is a happy healthy almost 30 year old man now, Intelligent well grounded and I love him to pieces, Thank you Dr Andrews for your great ability to show a frightened new mum that you cared and helping to get me through one of the toughest stages of my life kind regards Cheryl Dunn
