Short wait before he saw me. Diagnosis was almost immediate although Dr. T ran some tests just to make sure. Insurance covered most - lucky me. Prescriptions were'nt much either. I would recommend Dr. Talanin to any friend who had a skin issue.

The staff at this doctors office are poor. The doctor isn't great. Better to use another office.

The receptionist in this office has to be the most obnoxious and unprofessional receptionist I have ever come in contact with. In general, this practice is very good but if you can't get it right with the person on the front line of customer service it makes for a very unpleasant experience when it should be just the opposite.

During my last visit I was recommended a pricy medication not covered by insurance and that they sell at their office. Dr Talanin told me that I can purchase it and do a 10 day trial. If there is no improvement, I can bring it back within those 10 days and get a full refund. There was no improvement after 8 days and on the 9th day I attempted to get a refund, but was turned down by his office staff that was rude and astonished with the fact that I even have the nerve to request my money back. They refused to call the doctor and said that I don't need to make up stories about what doctor told me. I left them unused portion along with the receipt and asked them to double check with the doctor when he comes back in. Within last 4 months I made 4 visits. They are 170$ each (my co-pay is 20$). They received 680$ in payments from me and my insurance all together. Now, they are losing a patient over a 95$ 2 oz bottle of some shady medication they are trying to make a buck on.

OK, they didn't have my insurance carrier in the list (PHP), so that's why I added "none". I generally liked Dr. Talanin. My only quibble, albeit a significant one, is that he prescribed me a type of antibiotic that he specifically told me would NOT interfere with my oral contraceptives, yet research told me otherwise. But he did take a lot of time with me, listened, addressed concerns, and seemed pretty knowledgeable in his field. If I go back to him, which I probably will eventually, I will raise the issue of the antibiotic/contraceptive interaction and see what he says.

Dr. Talanin is very knowledgeable. He was able to quickly diagonose my problem. The medication he gave was good-plus he gave us a lot of free samples becuase the medication was very expensive. He is a very smart person. So I put my trust in him.
