Dr. Ledtke gave me my life back. After a year of being in the hospital for panic attacks and heart palipations along with several other issues. I found a doctor that actually had more than 5 minutes to listen to me. I am now back to feeling normal and doing great.

I was misdiagnosed for over three years. I went to doctor after to doctor, went to emergency room all the time and I was told that there was nothing wrong with me, that it was all in my head. I had finally come to the conclusion that I was ready to give up on life and Dr. Ledtke has given me hope that I will get better

We drive 2 hours to see Dr. Ledtke for our daughter, even though we have the renowned UMich medical center in our own town. He is the only doctor we have found who is willing and able to treat chronic, late-stage, long-undiagnosed lyme disease. All other doctors have strongly questioned its exisitence or, at best, claimed ignorance re: how to treat over the long haul. Until Dr. Ledtke, all she received was treatment of symptoms (including many bottles of pain-killers), a limited course of antibiotics, and referrals to psychologists. Since starting to see him 6 months ago, our daughter has steadily improved as he has treated her for lyme and a co-infection. He has a plan for her continued treatment and, for the first time in years, we see light at the end of the tunnel. All other doctors were telling us she would be this way for the rest of her life. Dr. Ledtke saw that she had lyme diesease, and was willling to treat for the long term. We owe our daughter's health to him.

Dr. Ledke is supposed to be one of the best dr.'s in MI, but that is not the case. If you have just lyme than maybe he will work. If you have co-infections and your case is complicated not the doctor that you want to see. I wasted too much time with him. If I was treated for babesia properly in the beginning I would be healthy right now. He undertreats dramatically and will pull off abx for no reason. Do not waste your time and money. Go out of state and see a doctor knowledgable about lyme and CO-INFECTIONS.

Dr. Ledtke was the first doctor who gave me hope for complete recovery from my Lyme disease. After being treated for over one year by another physician, i was told no further treatment was necessary and I should "get used to living the way I was." Dr. Ledtke tried several different treatments, each taking me a step further toward quality life once again. Today I can play tennis with the best, enjoy life with my grandchildren, and I once again "have a life." The thought of where I would be today frightens me, knowing so many are suffering from undertreatment. Dr. Ledtke is on time, offers quality service, attends seminars to remain updated on protocols, and is patient and kind. Office staff is friendly and the office immaculate. I highly recommend this doctor.

I guess I don't understand the negativity of the previous posters. I have been seeing him for many years and have never experienced any of that. Maybe you are a little sensitive, as I've never gotten the impression that he'd "blow up" at someone. He doesn't seem the arrogant type who would mind you seeing someone else if he's run out of ideas to treat you. The unreliability of the Lyme tests make them hardly worth doing and you have to pay for them yourself. Even the CDC admits that Lyme is a "clinical diagnosis" which means the doc has to decide how and what to treat based on what you complain of. He's always treated me fairly and I've done well. He occasionally changes medicine to try to get me to the next level. He's pretty organized, so I don't see how having a computer to type on so he's not paying attention to what you're saying would help. He's the only doc I've ever seen who actually listens to what I say and explains things so I can understand.

He is supposed to be Lyme Literate, but I did not find that to be the case. He severely undertreats. Hands out addicting drugs like candy, and uses band-aids in lieu of proper Lyme treatment. I do not believe that longstanding, undiagnosed, late disease, lyme suffers have much of a chanc eof becoming well again with this doctor. See one of the best which will require going out of state. Don't waste your time with marginal treatment and remain sick. A nice person, but nice isn't necessarily a good doctor.

Very considerate office staff, will help you beyond the office with motel/restaurant suggestions for those of us who travel to see him. They call to remind you of appointments, return calls and email. Dr. Ledtke takes his time, listens, never rushes you, he's knowledgeable, professional. He's a very kind, caring, and encouraging person. He is interested if you want to share anything you've learned about your diagnosis or treatment. He is very up to date, continually learning. My treatment has been totally successful. You never have to wait more than 10 minutes to see the doctor. The office is spotless. The best doctor I've been to in Michigan. They sometimes have a waiting list because they do not overbook. Worth the wait.
