Rob guided us through the worst time of our lives with compassion as did all the staff we met at the UW Carbone treatment center at 1 S. Park St. in Madison WI. In the end after two and a half years my wife lost her battle with cancer. I could not believe it when one of our nurses came to the funeral and I even received a card from the person who scheduled her appointments. I don't think we could have asked for better support or treatment outside of a cure for breast cancer.

Dr. Hegeman guided us through a life threatening illness with knowledge and compassion. I trust him more than I trust myself. He has given my wife and I much hope that I will have a complete recovery.

He was the absolute best doctor. He was incredibly compassionate and caring and did everything to the best of his ability. I have never met a doctor like Rob.
