I had a horrible consultation experience here that left me feeling extremely rattled, I have never been spoken to by a dental professional in as demeaning a manner as Dr. Antosz chose. I thankfully saught the opinion of another orthodontist, who has fixed my bite at less than half the cost and without the extensive dental surgery proposed by Dr. Antosz. If you feel rattled by your consultation here, please seek another opinion. It was thanks to this forum that I found another orthodontist (Dr. Nadia Nizam), who has been wonderful and has treated me with clear aligners, an option that Dr. Antosz insisted would not work.

Dr. Antosz is rude, patronizing and condescending. On four different appointments, he gave contradictory advice to what the other orthodontist recommended. Which is very confusing. Once he gave a misdiagnosis (counter to what the other orthodontists recommended) and I had to step in and call him on his mistake. On our latest appointment he and his staff member were rude to my child. I'm sorry to have given his practice over $14,000.

Very poor experience. I left immediately and never returned after the orthodontist was rude to me. Best thing I ever did. Fast forward years and I had a world renowned orthodontist in So California fix my poor bite and was referred to a smaller city north of the big city for oral max double jaw surgery. Happy in the end how things turned out as needed up with the best of the best!

Firstly, do not be fooled by the high star rating for this establishment. Please note that the majority of the Google Reviews are from previous orthodontic clinics that were in the same place, such as Icon Orthodontics and True North. My experience at this clinic does not at all reflect its high rating-- in fact, this was genuinely the most shady and unprofessional medical experience I've ever had in my life. If you go through the reviews on ratemds.com for Dr. Antosz, you'll find that my experience isn't even unique.

I was a patient of both Icon Orthodonticcs and True North-- I came back because I thought it would be simpler to stay with one location, even if it changed hands. However, upon my first meeting, Dr. Antosz told me I had a TMJ degenerative disorder, characterized by several symptoms I don't have. I had never been diagnosed with this issue before, so I found it hard to believe that Dr. Antosz could do so on his literal first meeting with me without asking me about any symptoms. Moreover, I booked an appointment for orthodontic treatment. I had no complaints of jaw pain. His proposed solution was to undergo extremely expensive and invasive jaw surgery, which also required years of braces before and afterwards. The surgery alone costs ~15,000-50,000 without insurance, not even including the braces. He proceeded to tell me that without following his advice, I would either have terrible tooth pain, or, at worst, lose teeth when I got older. The most terrifying thing about this situation is that a medical professional can try to coerce you into dropping so much money on something completely unnecessary through fear mongering.

Only after my parents questioned his diagnosis did he suggest that we get it tested at Rockyview General Hospital. After months of waiting, it unsurprisingly turned out that I did NOT have any degenerative disorder whatsoever. So, if I had followed his advice blindly, I would have sunk literally tens of thousands of dollars into a painful, invasive, and completely useless surgery that is categorized as "cosmetic," then sink years into spending money on braces to achieve the teeth that I have since achieved by simply getting invisalign with Impressions Orthodontics instead.

The worst part is that the surgeon I was referred to refused to operate on me for my wisdom teeth removal when I declined jaw surgery and changed my orthodontist from Dr. Antosz to Dr. Nizam. Apparently, that surgeon only works with Dr. Antosz' patients. And the surgeon specializes in jaw surgery. I won't connect the dots myself, but the situation begs for suspicion.

I have nothing against the staff at this clinic, I think they do a great job with what they're given. However, Dr. Antosz is the single most unprofessional doctor I have ever met, and I have very little faith in his ability to prioritize the patient over his financial gain-- and I haven't even gotten into the disrespectful and condescenting tone he uses. To think that I almost got fooled into undergoing an extremely invasive procedure through fearmongering and diagnosis without any evidence is mindboggling. Frankly, I wonder if his actions are even legal and I pity anyone who follows his advice. Do yourself a favour and see Dr. Nadia Nizam at Impressions Orthodontics instead; she's honest, direct, and puts your wants first. And most importantly, she doesn't scam her patients into incredibly expensive surgical procedures for diseases they literally don't have.

I have had more than one visit to this office as follow ups from Dr. Colby & Dr. Colby. These were two of the best ortho docs in Calgary. To see their practice go to these doctors in Aspen is disheartening to say the least. Dr. LOWE/GAGE we’re all about HELPING the patient. This practice is strictly about money money money & oh did I mention money? I will never go back! I can recommend an excellent orthodontist…DR NADIA NAZIM @SPRINGBOROUGH IMPRESSION ORTHODONTICS. Incredible kindness, thorough, always available, follows you very closely…..and I can say from experience…..is about helping the patient, getting a great result, & will continue to work with you until your desired results are achieved. She is not just about the money. Her office is extremely willing to work with you in all circumstances. LOVE HER!

mediocre communication skills; seems to be more respectful of men than women--Dr Antosz would do well do upgrade his skills in this area. The other orthodontists are quite different in this regard

Dr Antosz is extremely knowledgable, he was finally the orthodontist that was able to help me! I feel I need to make this comment in view of some of the other comments. Yes he tells it like it is but I finally got results no more pain and a heathy bite that I’d been after for years. I have heard that he manages some of the most difficult orthodontic cases, oh and yes the staff is great, the too are knowledgable and from speaking with them they have been with him for years! Going to miss them!!!

My 3 kids have been at this practice for 7 years, we loved Dr. Low and Dr. Gage, the previous owners of the original practice in Strathcona. We are so disappointed with this practice now. Dr. Antosh treated my son, myself and my husband with such disrespect like I never experienced it before. If it wasn't already into our treatment, and of course they have our money already, I would never enter this practice again. I made it clear that none of my kids or myself want to see Dr. Antosh again at any of our appointments, and my husband was lucky and started treatment at Impression Orthodontics, we can highly recommend them. As for my kids and myself, we're happy with Dr. Vincelli. He is kind and is good in dealing with kids.

We went to Dr Antosj and disliked the experience to the point of warning other future patients. Do not waste your time he is rude, dismissive and is not interested in a patient centred approach. When asked about the reason of the proposed treatment.m, he dismissed our questions and then didn’t bother showing up to explain the treatment at the end of the visit. We went for a consult and as soon as we sat down, the staff was talking about the proposed treatment before anyone had even looked at my son’s teeth. All this practice wants is to make money. We do not recommend this practice and will never set foot there again!
