Since Dr Cash retired, I selected Dr Hunter from online info for my husband. There was little to no conversation. We spent more time watching him trying to get his words out. He communicated more with his nurse! We never got any feedback from his EKG or his prognosis. He asked 2 questions., listened to his heart, felt his ankles and opened the door and stood in the open door while I was trying to ascertain what was wrong with my husband and had questions to ask. I asked him if he would get out of the door and close it so all the rest of the people in the hallway or other patients wouldn’t hear a conversation about my husband’s heart. He said he had been in there too long wow. We will never be back to See him again ! What a waste of time and money. There are plenty more doctors to choose from.

Seems to be knowledgeable if he would actually stay in the room long enough to let you ask questions. Apparently he adheres to the 15 minute general office visit protocol. Don’t find him to be at all attentive to the “human” side of medicine. “Just the facts ma’am” seems to be his attitude!

Dr. Hunter and Kathy kept my beloved mother-in-law living well for a number of additional years. They became like family with knowledge. Mrs Ruthie was our angel on earth and we are eternally grateful to them.

My mother was very sick & had to go Huntsville hospital Dr.Hunter was the on call cardiologist he was very rude & hateful to my mother. I really have a hard time understanding his behavior because I work with cardiologist every day & I have never heard such undeserving disrespect. I realize he was called on super bowl Sunday but guess what Dr. Hunter you are a "physician" a Cardiologist at that. Maybe if you feel like you should not be called maybe you should rethink your career. But when you take it out on an elderly patient because you had to come to the ER because she was having cardiac issues that is very wrong. She in her vulnerable state was looking for guidance & care you treated her terrible! So I will tell everyone that will listen about this experience. You Dr. Hunter should be very ashamed & take some pointers from your colleagues because my mother has been coming to the heart center for years & had never been treated like that until she met you.

We were visited twice by Dr Hunter when my 90-yr-old dad was a patient with congestive heart failure at Huntsville Hospital. We found Dr Hunter to be cold, uncaring, and arrogant. He didn't introduce himself when he entered the room, he spoke in a condescending manner to both my father and me, answered our questions very abruptly with as little explanation as possible, and showed no concern for my father who had questions about the cause of his leg pain. I can't accurately rate him on his "knowledge" in the ratings because he never shared any with us. Since we never visited his office, I can't rate staff or punctuality either, but they were required fields to post a comment.

Dr. Hunter treated my father for over 15 years. Unfortunately, my father passed away at 90 years old. Dr. Hunter and his nurse, they work in pairs, treated my father for CHF. He lived much longer than most CHF patients. My father followed his directions very closely. He kept running and eventually changed to biking and only stopped at 88 years old. Dr. Hunter encouraged my dad to seek a good "quality of life". It was the best way to spend his last years. We are grateful that we got this extra time with him, and thank Dr. Hunter for his part.
