I have been very unhappy with the care my children have received from Dr. Traina. She does not take my concerns as a parent seriously. She has missed several key diagnosis in my children that have caused them undo discomfort. She has refused to grant me permission to see specialists. I find her very unapproachable as do my children. I was concerned with the way a test was performed on my child and when I brought this up to her she blew me off. I avoid her at all cost in the office and try to make appointments with the other providers. Dr Kilduff and the nurse practitioners are excellent and provide great care.

Dr Traina stated "I don't know what is wrong with him" (1 year old son)& that he does not have Acid Reflux & refused to prescribe a PPI (Medicine) after childrens hospital did an ENdoscopy & confirmed irrifutably that he has a horrible case that was damaging his esophogus. She went on to tell us we were horrible parents and refused to do blood tests to identify his head to toe rash because the insurance company frowns upon doing unnecessary tests(according to her). My son was taken to the hospital the next day, he was prescribed reflux rx & they identified 3 days later that he had a severe blood infection that could have killed him if gone untreated. Keep your kids away from her. When I called back to speak with her she refused my call. The office manager was rude and stated that We were horrible parents and that we misunderstood. She said that most parents should not be parents and that we were one of the "Bullies". She went on to say DR Traina is owner so if I dont like it I can leave

I've had Dr Traina for 9 years...I have 3 kids. My son had an emergency health situation and she she blew it off. We went to Children's Hospital and he was hospitalized for 1 week and needed surgery. My other child needed Early yIntervention and she thought it wasn't necessary. I had to fight for her to give me a referral to see an ENT. He ended up having his adenoids removed b/c they were infected and he had a lot of issues. She didn't think it was necessary. As long as you don't have any issues, she's fine bc she's in and out the door in 10 min.

My child has torticollis. He was two months old when I pointed it out to Dr. Traina (she didn't mention it to me at all) She informed me that it would go away on it's own. I called Early Intervention, they evaluated him and he has had physical therapy for his neck ever since. She disagreed with my decision telling me that she doesn't recommend E.I. and that my son could need to wear a neck brace if they over stretch his neck. She asked how E.I was going at every appt. But at his 15 month appt. she told me she was unaware that he was in E.I. and asked me what he gets P.T. for. She also informed my aunt to put butter on her son's food because he was too skinny. Then a year later told my Aunt to put him on a diet because he was too big.

Not very tentative to patient needs. Not to mention misdiagnosed a simple removal of stitches. The office manager does not display any respect or empathy to a patients needs, which is ironic given the profession as a “care giver”.

Dr. Traina needs to pay more attention instead of rushing through patients. Administrative staff has gone waaaay downhill.

My kids and my nephews are patients of Dr. Trina's. She knows her stuff and has always taken the time to answer all our questions. A marked change form our previous pediatrician.
