I will NOT RECOMMEND Dr.Richard Lane to anyone and I do mean it. In my opinion, he is not a doctor because no doctors would do what he did to me and my life.
Here is Why :
First of all, I am a muscular dystrophy patient and wheelchair-bound. My arms activities are vital to me to be independent in my life. In the past, I had ICD( pacemaker ) surgery twice in 2018 and 2010 overseas and never had any problem. Not at all!
Mr.Lane performed surgery on my ICD because I had a faulty lead. He added another sensing lead.
A week after my surgery still I had such bad pain and I could feel the device is touching my clavicle and is so close to my skein. It seems that the device wanted to pop out. It has been communicated with Mr.Lane that I have bad pain and it seems the device is not in the same location as in the past. He insists it is in the same place and it will get better!!!
After 3 weeks and an office visit with his PA, Mrs.Carla mentioned it seems something is not right but Dr.Lane will say to wait for 6 weeks.
I waited for 8 weeks, I sent a message to Mr.Lane that we passed 6 weeks and I should not have pain anymore. But, I am not able to use my left arm and I have pain all the time.
He replied to wait for SEVERAL months and it will get better! I was suffering and fighting for my independent life and Mr.Lane even DID NOT bother to visit me and see what is going on.
I have been visited with 4 more Doctors in the state of Oklahoma and all 4 of them after seeing the X-rays and examining me told me that I need at least a pocket revision surgery and the best is to take the damaged lead out as well.
I suffered for 7 months until another honorable doctor that I can trust performed another surgery and fix all Mr. Lane's failures, But I lost my physical abilities and I am not independent anymore.
For Your more Information:
I begged to be visited by Dr.Halleran or Dr.Khastgir in INTEGRIS Hospital for a second opinion to fix me but both of them refused, because they were Dr. Lane's colleagues.
I made a complaint to INTEGRIS about what Dr.Lane did to me and Mrs.Rachel the manager of ICP told me she will follow up and will share this with the board of the hospital. she told me she will do whatever they can to help. But, they stopped answering my calls after the first time!!!
So, this is how INTEGRIS system and INTEGRIS hospital cares about a patient who is disabled and living by himself. I just expected to receive fair medical treatment for my medical problem!
After all failures, I have been treated like a piece of trash.
This was my experience and I will leave the judgment to you who are reading this. Should you trust them with your life or not!
I will never ever use INTEGRIS system again in my life.
I have all medical documents and witnesses to support every single line of my words

Dr. Lane implanted an ICD in my father. We met him during a crisis and he was absolutely the calm in the storm. He didn't have that "doctor" feel. He came in and sat down (showing he wasn't in a hurry) and explained everything, listened, and even told us about his own father's experience with the exact same device. We didn't need to continue to see him, but we still remember our encounter from 8 years ago. Very nice man!

Referred to Dr Lane from Dr Sweeney in Lawton. Dr Lane is truly a GOD send. He is calm, quiet and in control of himself, His presence is calming. Great listener, he is very patient, and has yet to jump to conclusions regarding my health. I have seen him 3 times now, his staff and and lab for cardio exams 3 times also. I don't believe a 51 year old military retiree could ask for much more. I always have arrived to my appointments early, Dr Lanes and his staff have always reciprocated by seeing me promptly resulting in my being in and out prior to the scheduled appointment time. I am terrifically pleased.

Dr.Lane did my EP study. I have had several follow ups with him. He is great. listens well. His office staff and nurses are wonderful. The EP lab at Baptist seem like a big group of disgruntled employees. Maybe they were all having a bad day that day, but they sure made my experience horrific.
