I am surprised to see the negative comments regarding Dr. Eyer. He is not our regular PCP; however, we did have an appointment with him recently since Dr. Michael was not available at the time. Based on my experience, I would say he is a wonderful doctor. Very knowledgeable and excellent communication skills. He was very patient and thorough when answering my questions regarding my son's treatment. I do not see any problem with his personality at all.

Gettysburg is a small town and there aren't many choices. I was interested in testosterone gel as my level is quite low. My pcp was a woman and I didn't feel she was a good fit regarding my concerns. I did a thurough search and chose Dr Eyer based on what I could find. I found him to be cold and clinical. He said I was low-normal and wouldn't prescribe anything. I experienced some fibrulation episodes and he assigned a holter monitor. They didn't call me back with results for several days. When I called to inquire they had to call back with: "they are benign don't worry about it". I am no hipocondriac and that's not acceptable to service in my book. I went back to my old pcp and am getting my issues addressed.

Lack of any bedside manner. He obviously knows anatomy but lacks basic communication skills. All other doctors in this practice are good but I go out of my way to avodi this one.

When I requested to see another doctor in this doctor's practice as my PCP instead of Dr. Eyer, due to some problems with personality and lack of what I would call "best" treatment practices, he dismissed me from the practice and all other MD's there--and I've been a patient there for 53 years! Refused to even discuss problems or collarborate on solutions--just told me to find another practice.
