You spend more time with the medical asst. Drs only read what they type in comp and off you go. So you are really seeing the medical assistant.

Ive been going to Dr. Kratz for over years now. As far as Im concerned he is very tentful to my needs. Sure it may take a few minutes to him but he always adresses me by my name and has given me very helpful medical advice on a number of occasions. He is the best family doctor Ive ever had and i plan on staying with him for a long time. I highly recommend him.

I went to him against the advice of some of his patients. He couldn't remember who I was even though I was there quite often. He would barely look at or spoke to me. Then write a script and say goodbye and on to the next. He really only addressed the main reason I was there, even if I had a few problems. Instead of getting to the root of my problem and fixing it. I was just given meds to hide the symptoms. It was extremely frustrating. Office staff would be extremely condescending and make snarky remarks. If I didn't want to take a narcotic I was told I would be removed from the practice for noncompliance. Prescriptions were written as "Take As Needed". I was removed from the practice for not taking them for a week. I wasn't in extreme pain and I resist becoming addicted. I later met 3 other patients of his and found they were dismissed for the same reason on the same week. Reasons were known later but in the disclaimer below it states they aren't to be addressed in this forum.

DR. KRATZ ALWAYS ANSWERS MY QUESTIONS AND LISTENS TO MY HEALTH CONCERNS. HE HAS HELPED ME THROUGH A VERY SERIOUS HEALTH PROBLEM AND I FEEL FORTUNATE TO HAVE HIM AS MY DOCTOR. WHEN I CALL FOR AN APPOINTMENT I AM GIVEN ONE IN A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME.

Dr. Kratz appears to be overwhelmed with patients, I feel he needs to spend more quality time with his patients. At times the wait is vey long and once you finally get to see the Dr. He gives you a feeling of being very rushed and unconcerned about what you are saying. As you are waiting to see the Dr. your are given a form to fill out that asks what your concerns are, symptoms, and what you would like to address and discuss on your visit nice touch, but the problem is he never looks at it or refers to the sheet. He appears to never review your chart and wastes a lot of time asking questions that are summarized right in front of him. I feel he needs to spend more time explaining to patients what his theory’s are, why he is running certain tests, and when you are given the test results he needs to explain what it means. He lacks in this area and this could be due to having too many patients.

this office is very nice. i was afraid to take my family to this office (being new) it was a rewarding relationship. we have been here for going on 4yrs. we were homeless is 2006, an the staff pulled together and got us things for the 3 kids we have. they treat you like a friend not a number or an patient. the dr sits and listens to what your needs are. i rated this office the way i did cause, no other office i been too, helped.
