I fell summer 2016 and landed on my face. Dr Berta did the surgery to repair my fractured jaw. He was attentive (unlike these doctors who just stare at a computer screen and ask questions).
Dr. Berta gives you eye contact. He's also astute. He could also see other health issues I had and addressed these with helpful suggestions. I wouldn't hesitate a second to recommend him. The man is a proffesional yet "still" a caring human being. I'd go back in a heart beat.

I was very disappointed with not only the horrible office staff, but with follow up care after my first appointment. After multiple calls about questions I never once received a call from the office, I always had to be the one to call. Please take my rating serious I would not recommend his office/MD to even my friends or family.

Dr. Bertz participated in a number of surgeries (emergency and follow-up) on my skull and face after it had been crushed by blunt force trauma. He is one of the reasons I am still alive and I will forever be indebted to him for what he did for me.

I have had two surgeries with Dr. Bertz and they both caused more damage than before. Now I'm in pain and worse of than when I first went to see him. I'm looking for another doctor to correct what he did. If he had communicated with me what the negative side effects of the surgeries were going to be, I would not have done the surgeries. In my particular case, the outcome and experience has been bad.

Dr. Bertz is an outstanding Maxiofacial Sergeon, and a fine individual. He took care of my elder son's cleft lip and palete with skill and humanity. My son is 31 as of this writing, and his skill is still evident! I will always be grateful!

I cannot believe any negative comments. The people who posted those negative comments must be thinking of the wrong doctor. Dr. Bertz is amazing. Like another respondent, I too experienced is quick and totally accurate diagnoses of my jaw injury. He knew exactly the damage I had done to the joint within minutes of examining me, and the MRI confirmed his accurate diagnosis. Then, his skill in surgery proved to be just as superior. The "scar" (if it can be called that) is barely even discernible, and I had immediate relief of my pain. I, too, am very thankful this this excellent surgeon and kind hearted doctor.

I don't know why others are critical. He literally saved my life after I had a major blunt trauma to my face. He is outstanding and I will forever thank God for his talent and skill. The idiot who calls him a name can pound sand. Dr. Bertez and his assistant Linda are simply amazing.

Dr. Bertz is far more than just an Oral Maxillofacial surgeon. He is an all around incredible doctor. I trust Dr. Bertz entirely. He travels the world multiple times a year, paying out of his own pocket, to help adults and children in third world countries. He is great!

I had been to 2 other oral surgeons and they could not figure out what that I had swelling on the left jaw or what was causing it, Dr. Bertz figured it out within 2 minutes of meeting me. While other doctors not knowing what they were going after wanted to cut on the outside of my face, Dr. Bertz has only operated on the inside of my mouth to remove the tumor, and has been considerate not to disturb my primary facial nerve which is right next to where the tumor is located. He always has time to talk with you and find out how your life is going - this is not a man that is concerned about a dollar, especially since every year he donates and time and surgical expertise to help children in 3rd world countries with facial deformities that cannot afford corrective surgery. Dr. Bertz is a wonderful man, with his heart in the right place.
