I am still in love with Dr. Nilson after all these years. I met him during my first pregnancy, after a car accident left me very scared about my pregnancy, when my own OB wouldn’t see me, Dr. Nilson MADE time for me to come in THAT DAY, even though I was not his patient. He reassured me that baby was ok and after 5 babies over the next 13 years, regular OB care, and finally having my tubes “done”, we had to break up. I will say that I was the luckiest girl on earth to have him for all my prenatal care and deliveries. I trusted him implicitly. He knows what he is doing, regardless of his dashing in and out from one room to the next, or his corny joking. At the end of the day, that is just icing on the cake. He can be trusted and any woman and baby is in great hands in his care. Love love love Dr. Nilson.

I went to Dr. Nilson after 2 years of trying to conceive and my former OB saying our only option was IVF. Dr. Nilson took time explaining things, ran tests on my husband and me, and after a few weeks of meds we have successfully conceived our first child!! Yes, he's extremely busy, jokes a lot, and rushes around, but he's always answered all our questions and makes me feel very comfortable under his care for our first child. Personally I like a quick appointment because I'm busy too and don't have time to shoot the breeze. If I have any issues I know he will spend all the time he needs with me and my care will be top notch. I highly recommend him and I'm very thankful my friends and family told me about him. If it weren't for Nilson and his awesome staff we would probably have never got to experience a family of our own.

I wanted to like Dr Nilson but it was not a good experience. Every appt was very rushed feeling, he would laugh at my questions and blow them off, I could tell he didn’t remember me from appt to appt. I ended up having an expected c-section which was devastating to me and he had the nerve to make a body shaming comment while I’m laying open and exposed on the operating table. He come highly recommended by so many people and nurses I was shocked that my experience was so poor. I will not be returning to this office for my next pregnancy.

Dr. Nilson has wonderful bedside manner. I went in for gynecological issues that previous physicians had no answer as to why. He took his time with me, answered my questions, stayed with me as I went back and forth with the decision of having a hysterectomy. He was emotionally supportive (which was definitely lacking with other doctors), knowledgeable, and positive (even with the high risk issues). He let me make the decisions and was an invaluable resource. He listened to me before my surgery, informed family promptly post-surgery, and was so positive that there was no way I could feel uncomfortable with him. His demeanor and attitude are a bit silly and fun. He may not be everyone's cup of tea but he certainly knows his stuff. Plus, his staff was awesome, particularly Brandy with scheduling. She went above and beyond to ensure my surgery went through without issues. Fantastic staff, fantastic doctor.

I LOVE DR. NILSON. I am SHOCKED by the reviews on here. Some of these reviews are so frustrating because so many people could possibly be steered away from such an amazing doctor all because people didn’t like the fact that they had to wait an extra 20 minutes. *eye roll* Dr. Nilson was so loving, comforting, and helpful during my husband and I’s Infertility journey. He diagnosed and treated me for stage 2 endometriosis and blocked tubes when other doctors wouldn’t have treated me for infertility because my husband and I hadn’t been trying for children for a year yet. During my diagnostic laparoscopy, Dr. Nilson stood by me and held my hand while I laid on the operating table until I fell asleep from the anasthesia because he knew I was scared. THAT is what separates him from the rest. He could have stayed out of the room until I was asleep. He could have chosen to wait at the other end of the room. Nope. He chose to stand right there next to me and let me know that we were in this together. He truly cares about you and is fully invested. Does he talk fast? Yes. Is his office busy? Yes. You will be in and out if you schedule your appointments first thing in the morning. I had to call and speak with his nurses SO much throughout the infertility process with questions, and they were always so helpful, especially his nurse Angela. He’s always behind in the afternoons because HE TAKES TIME SPEAKING WITH EVERY SINGLE PATIENT! That’s why your wait is longer than expected! It’s because he uses his appointments with every single patient to answer their questions and doesn’t rush though it because of the time of the clock! Also, just like every other person in the world, you aren’t going to have a close/warm relationship if you two just met, but I promise that if you give it time you will not be disappointed! My husband and I will be forever grateful for Dr. Nilson!

Tulsa Women's Healthcare and Dr Nilson were referred to me by my PCP. I was in need of a surgical consult for some sensitive issues. I had only heard good things about Dr Nilson so was confident he could help. Unfortunately, these review were from those who needed general OBGYN services. So needless to say I was taken back when Dr Nilson wanted to do an internal examine on me without a Nurse present. I had also had a CT scan done previous to my visit which he refused to look at stating "those are only done to charge you more money and are unnecessary. " I left his office wondering how he could "such a great Dr." I then followed up with a general surgeon and come to find out my CT scan was indeed necessary and I required extensive surgery with some revisions. I do not nor will I ever recommend or encourage anyone to go to someone so unprofessional.

Dr, Nilson is one of the smartest doctor I have had the pleasure of meeting. He is a laid back, funny, and an extremely intelligent doctor. If I'm confused he will answer any of my questions (as long as I don't hermit myself and forget to ask), or will make sure that his nurses can help address my problems considering he is a busy man. A doctor with so many patients will typically have a longer wait time, however I think this is extremely worth it in in order to receive the best care I know about in Tulsa. His staff is amazing and always so sweet and helpful. I couldn't complain about this office even if I tried! I'm shocked to see some poor reviews that couldn't seem farther from the truth, but to each their own. In my opinion he is an amazing doctor that will do anything he can to take care of you and or your baby as well.

Dr. Nilson is the best in his field. We went to him after 3 years of infertility with a dr that kept saying, "everything's fine, it'll happen." We switched to Nilson and he pointed us in the direction of a fertility specialist who was also the best and boom, we're pregnant. We had twins and on one of our appointments, my hubby couldnt make it, we found out there was no heartbeat. Nilson was very comforting and even cried with me. He's been great through our whole journey and is a wealth of knowledge. I wouldn't want to be with anyone else.

Really wish I had better things to say about Nilson, especially after all the wonderful things my friends had to say about him. If you're there for a yearly pap, cool, no big deal. But if it's your first kid and you'd like more than 4 minutes with your doc find someone else. He was so rushed, fast talking, and condescending I will be finding a new OB now that my baby is born. I had to ask really basic things because he never told me how things work, like how to know when to go to the hospital, what to do when my blood sugar dropped, etc. My water broke early in the morning and when he eventually rolled in he called me a "pain in his a**". I had a very low maintenance pregnancy so I'm sure I was low on his priority totem pole but dang, I would have loved to have an OB that acted like he cared.
