Am 79 yrs' old. I have bad arthritis, bad heart electrical problems and heart valves and fluid problems, no thyroid along with other health problems. Dr. Brown has been able to balance my medications for many years.

My spouse and I became Dr. Brown's patients after our primary care physician retired. I found Dr. Brown to be one of the most irresponsible physicians I ever encountered. He was nonchalant when examining us...talked a lot but never checked blood pressure, nor neck arteries, and did not listen to heart. Seldom did his office have patients waiting, which said a lot. My spouse was rushed to hospital with what turned out to be fatal illness. I called Dr. Brown's number and there was no answering service nor other physician to take his calls. It was a scary experience.

I am sad that Dr Brown has closed his office. He saved my wife in 1999 when she had a stroke. She was the first person every given the clot buster drug by anyone at St John's Hospital. Dr Brown was by her side all night in ICU. She totally recovered. In 2000 Dr Brown saved me when I had severe chest pain and he suggested bypass surgery. And again with a routine exam for prostrate cancer.

Friendly, knowledgeable, upbeat, genuinely nice person. Took the anxiety out of serious health problems and set me on the right path.

I went to Dr. Brown from a medical group within St. John and it has made all the difference. Dr. Brown is very thorough and detailed and extremely compassionate. I felt like he listened and made excellent recommendations. I believe he is very professional and well worth the visit. I recommend Dr. Brown to anyone who is unhappy with internist and feels they are part of the cattle call of patients coming through on a typical visit. Good experience.

Dr. Brown is a very smart and pragmatic doctor. Great diagnostician and excellent chronic disease manager. But his office staff is awful: rude and incompetent. And the wait time for my last two appointments was 1 hour to no show at all. As much as I like Dr. Brown once I see him, I'm changing doctors. It's just too hard to get a reasonable response from his office, and no hope for a return phone call from the doctor himself.

Love Dr Brown! I have dealt with him as (myself) an employee at St. John Medical Center and as a patient. He is smart, thorough, and down to earth. He's not snobby and does not have a "god complex" like some; he's funny and eager to laugh and he takes your symptom concern seriously. I feel like if there was some one who fit the role of a kindly country doctor who still makes house calls, it would be him. (MUCH more knowledgeable than a country doctor, though. =D)

For the past two year Dr Brown has care for my parents. He changed there medications which had side effects. Now their blood pressure is well controlled and they feel much better. I would highly recommend Dr Brown to anyone who is lost or confused with thier current care.

As a nurse and a patient of Dr. Brown, I would highly recommend him for any individual that has any chronic disease. As a diabetic, I have (with his treatment and instructions) been successful in controlling the disease. I have been a diabetic for 40 years and have known the ups & downs. Dr. Brown has seen me through some very rough times, always showning compassion and understanding. He is truly a caring physician. That trait is almost impossible to find in today's world. But most of all, his knowledge surpasses most in the field of medicine.
