Dr. Fidler is wonderful. He is helpful, and calm which is important in his specialty when most of his patients are in pain. He takes time to explain what is happening with my disease, and how medications will work. His receptionist, Wanda is the best, she is approachable and does the best she can to accommodate patients!

Dr. Fidler is my hero. I've been seeing him for the past 6 or so years, and greatly appreciate his matter of fact way of handling my psoriatic arthritis. He is awlays more than will to answer my questions and explains things very thoroughly. I've heard it said that he is hard to talk to, and I can see how some might feel that way. I have found that he is just quiet by nature, and once you ask a question, he engages and is very helpful. He also offers suggestions of non-drug strategies where possible to relieve symptoms, and I really appreciate that, as I don't like to add to the 'drug cocktail' if I don't have to.

I have had nothing but the best care from Dr Fidler. I have been to other rheumatologists and found them to be lacking in a respect for their patients.

Dr. Fidler was recommended to me by my rheumatologist upon moving to NW ontario. I was given a choice between TBay and Winnipeg and I chose TBay as my current Dr. knew Fidler and stated that he was very good. I'm so glad that I took his advice and chose Dr. Fidler. He's very attentive and is easy to talk to. Any time I've brought him a concern, he's considered seriously and addressed it in a very timely manner. He's even willing to co-ordinate my care with my family doctor and other specialists (something that I've heard is rare among specialists due to territorial disputes) I really feel that Dr. Fidler has my best interests at heart and is interested in helping me get the most out of my life as a RA patient. I wouldn't switch doctors for anything.

I have never seen Doctor Fidler but i know him through my church. Never have i ever seen him or known him to be rude or arrogant. He is quiet and hard working as a member of any committee he sits on or chairs. I have seen him discuss medical issues with people at the church in a respectful, caring and compassionate way.If i need his skills i would have no trouble with him as my Doctor. He has been treating a friend of mine for several years now and the results have been great. At no time has my friend had anything but praise for Doctor Fidler

Just a question...I am wondering about the weight of the patients here who have rated this doctor badly. After all, he is a Rheumatology specialist and weight must be a huge factor in his area of health. When I started to gain a few pounds, I did notice that his attitude changed toward me. When I lost the weight, he lost his "arrogant edge". This doctor is fantastic and we are very lucky to have him.

Professional, caring, kind, listens well and follows through. He has treated my husband for three years and my husband highly recommends him. We feel very fortunate to have him treat his illness.

Dr. Fidler is rude and arrogant. He certainly didn't connect with me. I have moved over the years and have been to a few Drs. and I have never been treated the way he treated me. I no longer see him and am currently without a Rheumatologist. I will not go back and be treated by him even though my general MD and a surgeon have recommended that I do so. So much for living in the North!

I have been seeing Doctor Fidler for many years and he has been most helpful, not only in dealing with my AS but also in encouraging me to quit smoking. Dr. Fidler is a gentleman.
