I am very thankful and grateful to have Dr. Fidler for my Rheumatologist, for over 10 years now, he is very kind, caring, knowledgeable and professional and he takes time to explain things if I don’t understand and makes changes to my medications when necessary. His receptionist Maria is great too, she is very kind, caring, professional and very helpful. I enjoy going to my appointments there.

This doctor is excellent and so is his assistant. However the secretray "Maria" needs to retire as she is somewhat rude and makes way too many errors.

I have been a patient of Dr.Fidler since the late 1990s. He has been the only doctor who has listen and has gotten my RA under control. I have gone from being in a wheel chair to now walking with a cane due to being put on medication that has helped my Rheumatoid Arthritis. Considering he is the only rheumatologist in Thunder Bay and is very over work he and Anne his rheumatologist practitioner always take the time to listen to what’s bothering me and explain why they need to make any changes in my medications or why they are keeping things the same. Would and have recommended people to see Dr.Fidler. However, if you’re a person who feels you know more than your doctor who has gone to school for year you’re not going to like him. also Maria the receptionist maybe be abrupt but she is very busy and will do what she can to help you.

Not impressed with Dr Fiddler. While I agree he is knowledgeable, his bedside manner is terrible. I spent less than 5 minutes in discussion with him, he changed around my treatment flippantly without spending any time actually listening to what I had to say. Looking for another as fast as I can!

I notice comments praising Dr Fidler as a good listener and speaking poorly of his receptionist. Although I found she was rather abrupt I feel that she is just over busy. She was actually quite helpful. Dr Fidler on the other hand was not. I waited years on a referral to get into see him. I was hopeful that he would take time with me after that long a wait and be able to give me insight to my symptoms. My appointment consisted of about a half hour with his physiotherapist who dismissed all of my concerns and determined my diagnosis in her opinion and about 2 minutes with him. He did not talk to me at all about my symptoms, looked at my hands (which were not the reason for my referral) told me what his assistant thought and sent me on my way. Telling me to address my symptoms with my family doctor, who has been telling me for 2 years that he would be able to help. Its a frustrating circle of medical incompetency and I am floored that I waited two years for two minutes of this doctors time. I found him very dismissive.

I'm very lucky to have Dr Fidler as my doctor, always answers my questions and concerns. Dr Fidler is very knowledgeable, I feel that he actually cares for his patients. I have never been rushed or felt disappointed with any of my appointments. My Disease causes my to visit several doctors from Thunder Bay - Hamilton & Toronto. Dr Fidler works with all my other doctors, which is very comforting to me. Thank-you for being my Doctor ( over 5yrs Scleroderma )

I dislike being bombarded with COUNTRY MUSIC especially when people are sitting there in pain, makes me nauseous ..
