Classic mediocre Canadian doctor...lectures you about healthcare rules but doesn't care to engage with the patient's medical issue. She only has patients because where else can we go?

Horrible doctor and even worse personality. She is proud and arrogant, and when shuts down concerns by saying things like, "I went to school for 10 years, I know more than you, etc." Dr. Madan is cringe, her personality is cringe overall. I went to another doctor a week later who then referred me to a specialist and found out my issue was actually serious.

Abrupt, rude and even confrontational. As a family doctor, she is not qualified in the communication skills to relay information, access peoples personal information or discuss any medical matters and/or serious conditions. Being a good doctor is much about communication to which she has little to none. She needs much more training before she is properly fit to interact with clients.

Do not go see this Doctor, so insensitive, terrible bedside manner. Dismissive, rude and not helpful. In an already suffering health care system it makes me lose faith even more. Why become a family doctor if you have no ability to make people feel comfortable. Her approach to mental health lacks any empathy.

Dr. Madan's staff took me in on a cancellation as I was extremely ill and needed to be seen immediately. I have dealt with Dr. Madan before with a telephone appointment and I found that she listened to my concerns, she has a very bubbly personality and Dr. Jamshaid definately made the right choice by bringing her in to run her practice. I am very greatful for the treatment that I received. Ms. C. Carter

I visited Dr. Monika Madan (while waiting for Dr. Jamshaid to take me as a new patient). This was the first time to see her. Dr. Madan was interruptive, abrupt, and impolite actually, treating me as if I had been her literacy student. One of her med. comments was very concerning, "Why do you go to a cardiologist for high blood pressure?", although I had explained the serious family history regarding heart attacks, etc., and stressed that my cardiologist had me tested even at the Nuclear Cardiology Department. By the way, at the beginning of this visit to Dr. Madan, I confirmed I am sixty years old. I would not like to see Dr. Madan again. Alexandra, med. secretary, was nice and professional.

Dr. Monika Madan is the worst locum you could ever have. You'd think that because she is new to the field she would be much more attentive to the individual's needs. That is the opposite of what happens. She completely dismissed my concerns and refused to give me a referral for a GI specialist, despite being a person who has chronic GI problems. All because it was "unnecessary and the health care system is backed up". Dr. Madan only cares about money and not about her patients. She is also not compassionate at all and lacks bedside manners. Absolutely would not reccomend visiting her, whether it be in-person or telephonic.

Dr Madan was somewhat rushed. I wanted a referral to a specialist whom I had seen a few years ago. She did not address my concerns or needs and specifically declared that it’s not what I want or who I wish to be referred but rather how the system works etc. how sad that after many many years of paying high taxes I’m treated like a number and possibly a good dose of ageism. What a tragedy that I am facing I. My old age. I believe that I have a right to a referral if I do desire in a free democratic society. A very disconcerting experience. I’m now 82 and will be needing a health care system that reflects some emphaty and real care for my well being.
