Dr Hensel did surgery for a torn meniscus 3 years ago, he never found the tear and said it was just fluid. 3 years later with a MRI showing the same tear she goback to him and he tells her she is not n pain and does not have a tear. He was very rude and condescending . She disagreed with him on the tear and he say he is a Boad certified Orthopaedic surgeon. She is an very young adult so she went on her own. I feel he bullied her since he did not correct the tear from 3 years ago. I would never advise anyone to see Dr. Hensel

I went on the wrong day. He was heading out to the beach and I was rushed out of the office. There was more conversation on if he packed his lunch and that he needed to hurry to make it on time for his "1/2 day off" than there was concern for my condition.

Dr Hensel is amazing! I was so happy to find a doctor who didn't want to just rush in to surgery right away. He thoroughly and clearly explained my options. He first recommended therapy which I did. When that didn't solve the problem he then explained the surgery. I'm happy to say everything went smoothly and I couldn't be happier. Thank you Dr. Hensel!!

I had gone to Dr. Hensel back in 2011 for a torn meniscus he knew exactly what it was and it was taken care of very quickly and efficiently he and his staff were very caring about me.I was so pleased with them I went back in 2014 with what he said was nerve damage and they took very good care of me then too. I would recommend him to anyone.

I just came from Dr Hensel's office, his bed side manner is terrible. He is overly confident to borderline arrogant. I don't like Doctors who talk down to me and tell me what to think.

I saw Dr. Hensel for leg pain. He did not seem very interested in my history. He talked over me on a couple of occasions. Also, he was veiwing an x-ray that was taken 1 year ago. On the computer screen an x-ray from this year was also displayed. When I corrected him, he proceeded to lecture me. Not very professional.

Dr. Hensel fixed my knee problem. I had been to other orthopedic surgeons in the past in Georgia and then moved here. I know somebody who works in the operating room and they recommended Dr. Hensel. They said they would only recommend a few drs and Dr Hensel was one they said they would take their own family to. They were right. The other drs where I used to live just couldn't fix my knee right. It took Dr Hensel to solve it. I'm so grateful to him and would highly recommend him to anyone!

I have had Dr. Hensel for both a shoulder and knee condition. He's performed two surgeries and has orchestrated both of my rehab procedures. I had a torn meniscus in my knee which he repaired as well as four problems with my shoulder. Both problems are 100% repaired and I'm very pleased with both the service he performed as well as his staff. I love his staff! I have a great fear of needles and blood and they are so kind and compassionate. Dr. Hensel is one of the best doctors I have ever had, he takes time to show me pictures of what is wrong and explain exactly what he will do to fix it. In addition, he was very wise to not get me addicted to pain meds - with surgeries like mine, it is easy to get addicted! I know people would get very angry to not get the drugs, but he doesn't prescribe them loosely! I am grateful for that! I recommend him highly!

Dr. Hensel treated a fractured clavical for me. I had been told by an Indian orthopedic surgeon that I needed surgery even though 90% of clavical breaks heal with just a sling. Unfortunately, I was biased against Indian doctors and was elated when Dr. Hensel told me it would heal with just a sling. Once Dr. Hensel makes a decision, he will not reverse it. After a month of pain, I told him I wanted a plate put in and he told me to get another doctor - advice I should have followed. In my case there was no possibility that the break could heal because of the half in. overlap of broken bone ends and their distance apart. After 12 weeks of pain, I got my operation late in the afternoon. The bone fracture healed nicely but I did have problems with the incision - drainage and part of the suture poking through after it had closed. Dr. Hensel caused me a lot of unnecessary pain and a long recovery since my shoulder froze up after months of no use. Dr. Hermansdorfer removed the plate, great doc
