The best doctor I ever had. Unfortunatly forgot to update my phone number and I went to see him again was told he was no longer my doctor. I was most upset but I don't go to the doctor much (knock on wood) and I guess when they called to tell me he moved clinics my number was disconnected. A sad loss for me.

I have been a patent of Dr. Bachinsky ever since he took over Dr. Vauhgn's practice at Cordova Bay. At first, I found his very direct method of getting to the problem a little unusual but have grown to really appreciate his no nonsense approach to addressing my health problems, which have included prostate, heart, kidney and gastro concerns. He lost no time directing me to a Specialist when he felt it necessary.
We, who are his patients, are fortunate to be in his care. His staff are great too!

My hisband and I are Doctors'Bachynskys'patients since 2014 and we are very glad to have him as our doctor.. We appreciate his professionalism very much. He can listen to his patient, he is able to give clear, transparent answers to questions. He is able to discuss the treatment that he offers to his patient. To be Doctor Bachynskys' patient is to be considered like a partner. When it is necessary, he is able to refer to speciLists in a very short time.

He was extremely misogynistic, dismissive, condescending, and patronizing. Told me I was depressed after talking to me for not even 2 minutes.

Dr. Bachynksy is a very smart man who genuinely cares about helping his patients. Although doctors have an extremely busy schedule and can only devote a limited amount of time to each patient, Ted Bachynsky is the most efficient & effective doctor I have met. There's no BS with him: he asks for updates on past conversations & events in my life to assure I am mentally and physically healthy, and will prescribe a suitable treatment if necessary. No barren conversation about the weather or irrelevant news. It's perfect. Exactly what I look for in a doctor. Too many people confuse GPs for a counsellor or psychiatrist and get upset because they won't spend 2hrs talking about their life problems or give a year supply of drugs. A few years ago I asked Ted to give me an appetite-suppressant drug so I could lose weight. He smirked, said no way, and suggested exercise. At first I was upset because I didn't get what I wanted but it was oddly inspiring. He could receive a kickback (commission) by prescribing me something but chose not to. Do not confuse his words for not caring, because his actions prove otherwise. I ended up losing +50lbs and am the best shape of my life. Just be honest and trust that he will help you.

I was a patient of M.. Vaughan ( review are 5++)the few times I have had to go and see Dr. Bachysnky, who took over Dr. V's practice I have found he clearly doesn't listen. My issues were sinus/respiratory related. Being a licensed. LPN I have a good understanding of how the body functions. After finally convincing him about my issues I have had sinus surgery to facilitate by sinuses to drain effectively and thus dramatically improve my breathing. Dr. B could use a refresher on: basic practice skills, listening skills, follow up skills. People go to see a doctor because they have concerns regarding their health and the condescending, unconcerned attitude he has towards his patients is pathetic.

Dr. Bachynsky has been our Dr for 2 years and although we have no major medical issues, he has been knowledgeable about the issues we presented him with, and good about referring to a specialist as needed. He even personally phoned my husband at home to follow up about an unexpected result on a lab test, which we have never experienced with other Dr.s.

Dr. Bachynsky has been my family GP for just over three years now. For the past year or so, I have been seeing him almost weekly for care of the same issue. Dr. Bachynsky diagnosed my issue immediately; referred me to an excellent surgeon; and has been caring for me pre- and now post-hip replacement surgery. I am a 54 year old male who has had many family doctors (due to relocating often) and for nearly five years here on Vancouver Island before I found Dr. Bachynsky, I visited medical clinics for my care and saw many, many different doctors there too. I have found Dr. Bachynsky to be THE FINEST doctor I've ever had! He is extremely thorough and caring. His receptionists Lee and Suzanne are kind wonderful too!

Rude, condescending and very abrupt. Doesn't listen and borderline argumentative. Not sure how he keeps his medical license.
