I have seen Dr. Price for over 10 years and she is by far the best rheumatologist I have ever had. Due to several moves and living away from home during college and graduate school, I have had several different physicians. She has helped me stay the healthiest and most pain-free when compared to several others.

She is so knowledgable about Lupus and I feel very comfortable with her. She is a little rough around hte edges at first, but if you schedule appointments when she asks and keep up on what you are supposed to do, she becomes a very friendly and personable doctor!! She has called my house numerous times to check in on me to make sure her RN got all of the info correct. She has also written personal notes when she sends a prescription or blood results to my house. Wonderful doctor who cares about her patients!!

To get an appointment you must first fax in an info sheet. The doctor is said to review these to determine who must be seen first. The administrator said it can take the doctor a month or more to review the sheets, and then if you're not considered urgent it can be a great deal longer before you can get an appointment. Three weeks and counting and no one can tell me whether she has, in fact, reviewed my information yet for various reasons: the computer is down, the woman who does that task is not in, etc. My primary informed me that it's difficult to get an appointment w/ Dr. Price, but I never imagined it would be this annoying or that I'd have to wait a month to find out if I'm considered sick enough to see her. However, reading the reviews of other rheums in this area, I can see why people hold out to see Dr. Price. Here's hoping I get to be one of them.

I have not seen Dr Price, so I don't have any knowledge of her punctuality, helpfulness or knowledge -- in fairness, I just put average. The main reason I am submitting this is as a warning to anyone thinking about getting an appointment as a new patient -- an impossibly long and unnecessarily complex process. As I write this, I have been trying to arrange an appointment for TWO days now and I have NOTHING! When you call, they tell you to call back after 2PM. When you call back, all they do is take your name and fax number to send you a sheet for you to fill out...that isn't sent out until they close for the day! I faxed it back and nothing...I called back at 4:45 before the office closes at 5PM to find out what was happening and they were already closed. I also talked to my primary physician about helping me getting an appointment and nothing. If you have an IMMEDIATE NEED to see a Rheumatologist, Dr Price is not your solution...no matter how good she may be!

I've gone to Dr. Price for treatment of rheumatoid arthritis for several years. She does tend to run late with her appointments. However, that's because she is willing to spend as much time as necessary to address your concerns, questions, and needs. I would highly recommend her to others.
