Dr Powers diagnosed my problem just walking into the examination room. I have spent over a year going from doctor to doctor and was ready to give up when I was fortunate enough to find this wonderful doctor. He certainly knows his stuff. I wouldn't hesitate recommending him to anyone with foot or ankle problems.

Absolutely got rid of my neuropathy pain. I had it for years and it was getting more severe every year. It seemed as if hot needles were poking me in my feet and legs. A simple surgery has totally made the pain disappear and I have remained pain free for years. I recommend Dr. Powers to everyone!

I went to Dr. Powers thinking I had plantar fasciitis. He told me I didn't, that I had bursitis of the heel and gave me a cortisone shot in my foot. The shot made my condition worse. He taped my foot to see if I needed new orthotics. That didn't help. He gave me a nerve block on my 3rd or 4th visit to see what would happen over the next 3 weeks. No change whatsoever. On my final visit he diagnosed tarsal tunnel and told me I needed surgery or at least a series of cortisone shots. He referred me to a plastic & reconstructive surgeon for a second opinion. This doctor said I didn't have tarsal tunnel but couldn't tell me what the problem was. After approximately 3 months I got into another podiatrist who diagnosed classic plantar fasciitis on the first visit!!! After about a week of following a treatment protocol for plantar fasciitis I had a dramatic recovery. I'll never go to Dr. Powers again.

Well, I have to say that Dr. Powers is the crabbiest doctor I have ever run into. He makes it clear that he really dislikes having to code procedures, and he dislikes electronic medical records and having to enter data on a computer. It seems like he talks more about those dislikes than about my broken foot. I think he is probably a good podiatrist and surgeon but I will never go back to him because I feel like he doesn't enjoy what he is doing and therefore doesn't really care about me. He says the new medical record keeping causes him to spend less time with patients, and I believe this is true because he really doesn't have time to answer my questions. I've seen him three different times in the past 6 weeks.

Dr. Powers is a very caring and compassionate physician. The Neuropathy and pain in my feet is nearly gone after the surgeries performed by Dr. Powers. I recommend him highly for the treatment of any problems of the feet and legs.

This amount paid was out of pocket for co-pays. Untited health covered alot. MD JOHN POWERS is a great md. He is very good at informing you about your conditions and taking correct steps to fix your problem not mask your problem. He is a great surgeon and listened very carefully about your return to work. He was also very good at taking the time to fill out forms needed by my insurance company. I recommend MD JOHN POWERS to everyone when they ask about my problem. I tell them he got me back on track. I have been seeing Dr. Powers for 14 years and all 4 family members are patients of his. I have recommended him to family and friends. Most recently he fixed nerve damage in both my legs in which I have been dealing with pain for years; we finally opted for surgery after multiple tries of shots, therary, wrapping, etc; it has worked great, I am pain free.
