He shouldn't be in practice. He has done procedures on patients that were completely unnecessary and has damaged their bodies and lives, forever. I hope that people think twice about having him as a doctor, and if they have him, get another one instead.

Dr. Sutherland was friendly, professional, unrushed, and he took me seriously. He listened instead of just typing into a computer and took the time to conduct a few preliminary nerve conduction tests. I found him helpful and knowledgeable.

Procedure done on my back was fine and provided much needed pain relief. After approximately 31/2 months once again in extreme pain and it is impossible to get any info concerning next appointment. The assistant I spoke with stated (for the second time) she was busy making up the schedule and would advise me. Then crickets! Nothing! This schedule must be extremely difficult or time consuming or a great ploy to pacify patients and get them off the phone. Total incompetence. Very unprofessional. Employees like this add to the woes of our health care system.

He is completely useless, to the point of performing completely unnecessary procedures on patients, and then refusing to help patients with medication that actually works. A patient can literally have tried everything, and yet, he still won't prescribe something that will work, even if it's the only thing. He teats patients like they don't matter in their own treatments, that they don't know their own body or anything, dismisses and leaves people to suffer needlessly. If you're able to run from him please, do so.

Doesn’t listen and/or doesn’t know basic diagnostic criteria for even common disorders. Actually cited diagnostic criteria to me wrong when I looked it up after the consult because what he said sounded wrong. Sure enough I was right. He also stated to me the one symptom I experienced that caused another doc to flag a different disorder “happens with lots of disorders”. No it doesn’t. If you have uncomplicated pain that can be treated with injections maybe he will work for you. If you need someone who can handle complicated pain or diagnose a pain disorder or even just formalize something you are already marked for vs just throw a random diagnosis out that makes no sense with symptoms (other than the ones I don’t have he imagined me telling him about)... You are wasting your time.

I have been seeing Dr Sutherland for over 15 years now after I was in a car accident - he gives me options and always explains everything. Maureen his nurse is amazing and so helpful - clinic always calls you back if you have questions of if you need anything - I have said I wish my family doctor was as amazing as Dr Sutherland.

Dr Eric Sutherland is the best Dr and one of the finest humans in the world. He cares and also explains what is wrong (if you don’t know) and goes thru all your options. His right and left hand Kim and Maureen are also wonderful additions to his team. I hope one day I don’t need him but right now I am sure glad he’s here.

I have been seeing Dr Sutherland for over 10 years for chronic pain after a car accident - he explains everything he does and what his long term plans are - I feel I am being listened to when I have an appointment - I feel he cares about my care. I have had nothing but great care from Dr Sutherland.

Warmest, most knowledgeable, and kind MD I’ve ever met. Dr. Eric explained the procedure in detail to me and talked thru the actual procedure, in detail. During my follow up, he explained in the detail what findings were and treatment options. His team is very friendly and warm, like him.
