Excellent, caring Surgeon.

Dr. Wood saved my son from a radical mastoidectomy (recommended by another doc in a hurry to get it scheduled).

Highly recommended!

I have had 3 ear surgeries all by dr wood. I have been seeing him for 3 years now. I have nothing but good things to say. I still remain a mystery for him, but some of us are just that. I would recommend him to anyone and have.

Dr. Wood is an excellent otologist (ear doc) and an excellent ear surgeon. I can highly recommend him to those who need help with ear issues. He is also a caring individual. He called to check on me at home a few day after surgery. His staff are curteous and caring individuals.

I went of Dr.Wood because of a hearing loss. He wanted a MRI to rule out a tumor. When I ask what the chances for that was, he said "very rare" I have only had 25 to 35. Well, I did have a tumor and then he became the expert and had done hundreds. I ask about other options and he skimmed over them especially radiation and said the failure rate is far above surgery and I would be waisting my time. When I ask about centers of expertise he said no need to go. When I ask before diagnosis he told me about a place in California. On my own I found several patients that had local surgery; I couldn't deal with some of the outcomes of the surgery. After much research I opted for radiation. I would not go back to this man because I was not told of my options and several other issues.

Dr. Wood and his staff at the Hough Ear Institute were extremely helpful and quick in getting my son the hearing aids he needed and in diagnosing him. After three years of seeing other doctors, Dr. Wood was quick to refer my son to another institute for testing and assistance, then called me to request a follow-up visit. I would highly recommend Dr. Wood to anyone who has serious hearing problems.
