I was a patient of Doctor George C. Pursley until the end of November 2016 when his practice closed. He was my doctor for approx the last 18-20 years and I can say in all honesty that I have had no complaints against him, his staff, and his practice. I have read complaints about him on the net in the past, but not once did any of those things that others have complained about did I ever witness in my own case. As to his staff, there are many who I was friends with and I thought the did a bang-up job as for as treating me and I will always be grateful to Lois, Melissa, Wendy for their outstanding treatment of me and mine. I will miss Dr Pursley and all those I have mentioned here greatly! One time I requested of Dr Pursley a rx for valium to calm my nerves and anger prn. And he told me he could not prescribe that for me without a valid reason - especially without a workup for same. 2.5 to 5.0 mg is nothing these days, not to be taken daily, but as needed. I never did get that rx. He refused my request. Thank you, Dr. Pursley for being honest. He has been an asset to this community for years and years, and I will miss him.

Absolutely love Dr Pursley, he sat down and actually took time to listen to my multiple problems with my health and we came up with a game plan to help me and he explained everything from my illnesses to the medications and how the are going to work for me
. And if i didn't see the results in a certain amount of time, to come back in and we would try something different. But making me better was the goal... very compassionate doctor

Dr. Pursley was a great doctor. He and Mr. Craig always were very caring. I feel bad for them but he really needed a new front office staff. I can't tell you how many times they over charged me, had me in the system as two different people and made me make due on both. The worst person I have EVER had to deal with in my life was a middle older woman who treated everyone as if they were there to get her. She was the most hateful angry mean judgemental horrible person I have ever met. I think her name was Bonnie? Left window when walking in the office. She made everything so difficult and we had plenty of words in front of his clients. Unnecessarily unprofessional. She is the only reason I would not go back when I was left in the middle with no meds that could have made me very sick!

I don't know Dr. Pursley personally, I'm no a pt of his. Just calling from another doctor's office, but this is the worst office to get in touch with. I doesn't matter what option you select from the prompts, you never get someone on the phone. It's always a machine for you to leave a message, which no one has answered yet after two days. I have also faxed my request a couple of times and got the same results. Word of advise, having a live courteous person to answer your phone and redirect your calls makes a world of a difference.

so I am really upset about this issue people are saying it the ones saying are probably the junkies he would not give meds to and ticked because of it. I have been going for years and had pain issues and he never did this always had to test for any drugs .he has even suggested Tylenol and hings like that , he is a good dr and a good man been very good to me and my mom, I hope this is over soon and all of you look like idiots

This is a great doctor. He llistens to you and does his best to get to the nature of your illness and I was never over medicated.

I love Dr. Pursley, he is so caring and concerned about his patients. The DEA picked the wrong Dr. to pick on. He has helped me get through many problems that I have. Best DR EVER! from Linda L. Smith and yes I did pray for him.....

He got too busy and too greedy. My relative saw him for many years. He is now hopelessly addicted. The families are affected too when someone they love is turned into a " legal junkie" I was not a bit surprised when he lost his DEA license. I have talked to many people in his waiting room who were there for their drugs. Some were way too young to be taking such powerful stuff! I have never felt he cared about my relative who worries constantly since Dr Pursley has brought in a new doctor to prescribe his meds. I am hoping the DEA does a complete investigation of his practice and the truth is made public
