The staff here is rude and dangerous. I wouldn’t recommend this practice to anyone. I really love Malarie Jackson but the office staff is horrible and makes it too hard to deal with.

Dr Schrader is a great doctor. Very personable, knowledgeable, caring and thorough. Great with kids and adults. Office visits can be frustrating due to long wait times. Expect long wait times if you arrive early or on time. Typical wait times are 15-30mins in lobby after reception checkin, then walked to your room and wait for nurse 15-30mins, she checks vitals etc, and then final 20-30mins until you see Dr Schrader (or Nurse Practitioner). On the most recent visit, my wife texted me while she waited 1hr in the patient room until she saw the NP. We absolutely love Dr Schrader but need better service.

I have had a terrible time trying to schedule appointments, whoever is in charge of scheduling is not efficient at all. I have left messages with Dr. Schraders nurses on multiple occasions and have only been called back once. The visit my blood pressure was really escalated and I asked that the nurse send a script to pharmacy for blood pressure medicine she said she would and even asked me if she had the right pharmacy, she did come back in the room and retake my blood pressure a few minutes later and it was still very high, like stroke range. Needless to say my pharmacy was never contacted, there was no blood pressure script at pharmacy at all. Also I waited in the exam room for almost an hour Dr, Schrader was apologetic about being late but by the time he got in there I was so frazzled and late back to work that I couldn't think of the questions I needed to ask him. The minute he left the room I remembered but by the time I got dressed he was sitting in my view on a phone call, so I asked the nurse to ask him and call me.. Never heard back from the Doctor or the nurse. I have trusted Dr.Schrader for almost 10years however his new office staff is NO good!
Talk about jeperdizing ones health wow these people are awful. So I call and ask to speak to him so he can be aware of what is going on and how his patients of years are being treated and I'm told that he won't call patients that's the nurses job, so I'm going on 5 weeks of trying to schedule an appt just to speak to him.... Receptionist keeps putting me off saying "you know how busy he is" "his schedule is full until December" great I say put me down for December, then she says she'll have to call me back... Still hasn't called back....
He is a good doctor, it's a shame he has uncaring, unhelpful staff.

Staff aside, Dr Schrader is the best. My daughter is 4 months old and he has been her pediatrician from the beginning. She was in NICU for a few hours after she was born and he was there giving her prayers and encouragement. I'm not a spiritual person but I really appreciated that. He has no problem with our decision to not vaccinate our child and has expressed to us that ultimately our child is our child and he is merely there to provide information which we can choose to use or not use. Never has he forced us in any particular way. He's very soft spoken and keeps the environment calm. I would definitely refer him to anybody looking for an open minded pediatrician.

Dr. Schrader is a great doctor. He is very patient oriented and takes time to answer questions and made me feel very comfortable. However, the office staff is horrible. I worked for a family doctor for 10 years and never witnessed such callused treatment of patients as I have been subject to at Northwest Family Physicians. Overbilling, wrong codes and a complete lack of respect for the people who visit their office seems to be the norm. I realize the Doctors are often shielded from what goes on in the Front office but it inconceivable that they are unaware of how poorly their staff behaves. It is also disappointing that access to a good physician such as Dr. Schrader has to be through what can only be described as a throng of spiteful, unfriendly, lazy employees.

This doctor prescribed an adult dosage to my 6 year old son. It made him sick for several days at school before I realized the problem. He apologized and then phoned in a prescription that none of the pharmacies had. When I called him again to tell him the problem., they told me he had was on vacation for two weeks and they would have to see if another doctor could help me. I asked if they would still please call him and they refuse. Very poor behavior by the Dr and staff. When he got back from vacation and the other dr. Told him how he had messed up, he wrote me a letter and said that he would not care for my son anymore. He didn't even have the decency to call me. Very unethical and inprofessional. Don't expect a Dr. Who cares.

He is very knowledgeful on all the new procedures and medications. Very hospitable and he actually cares; he's not just in it to make a buck. More doctors need to be like him.

I absolutely adore Dr. Schrader. He is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and listens to every patient. He is my doctor, my husband's doctor, and will be our child's doctor in 24 weeks. We've been very happy with him at each visit.
