I went to Dr. Herrin as a child and always had a good experience. Now as an adult with my first full-time job, I am still using him as my optometrist. Since my insurance does not cover vision care, I appreciate the lower prices. Exams are at least $20 cheaper than any other optometrists I have found (including Lenscrafters) and the services are easily accessible. Most recently, I scheduled an appointment for the very next day and waited only 3 days for the glasses. Both Dr. Herrin and the secretary assisted me in choosing glasses that I love!

Okay here we go...I was NOT given my prescription until 8 days later when I demanded it be faxed to me (after asking for it multiple times). Quoted an incorrect amount and then told I would get a refund, only for her to tell me "no, I never said you would get a refund" literally 2 days later. I have paid $170 (exam=$10; their fitting fee=$107!!almost double of what others fee's are). I was told I could get $130 to buy contacts online, but that math obviously does not add up. Scam artists here!! Asked what my current prescription was during the exam TWICE! He gave me a contact that isn't even what I'll be wearing, it's just the correct power. I told him it was bugging me and he shrugged it off like it was no big deal. I could go on and on and on, but here we are 2 weeks later and I STILL DON'T HAVE ANY CONTACTS! I'm working with my insurance to get this resolved to try and go somewhere else. Stay away. FAR AWAY

Dr. Herrin made my 11 year old son cry. He accused him of lying and "playing games" when he told him he couldn't see. My son has a convergence insuffinciency (as we found out from another doctor). Dr. Herrin's staff is rude and absolutely NOT helpful. They refuse to answer any of my questions. DO NOT use them!!!

Very punctual. I did not have to wait passed my appointment time. Dr. Herrin was friendly and professional. Answered all of my questions and helped me pick out the cutest frames! I would definitely recommend to anyone. His receptionist helped me figure out what my insurance was! It was amazing and totally out of her way to do it but she did it and did not complain. A++++++++++
