Best dr in Tempe I will never change my provider he has helped me for many years our whole family comes to his office he treats us like family not just a regular person or a number . He takes his time I would recommend him to friends

I was a new patient on 4/8/13 office staff was nice and friendly I met dr Alcantar who took his time with me he is great!! ;) I found my new dr . He's very caring and understanding and his staff is great!

I saw Rosalia Vasquez, the nurse practitioner at Dr. Alcantar's office on 03/21/2013. The waiting room was hot and miserable. My check-in time was at 1 PM and the from office lady did not get back from lunch until after one and then just sat there behind tinted glass - didn't offer to help the 12 of us that were sitting there waiting for our appointments. Stephanie was very nice and helpful (the medical assistant). Rosalia was very rushed, cold, robotic, and got my prescription wrong and then failed to call one of the prescriptions into the pharmacy. Her tone was snotty and rude and seemed annoyed that I had requested RX refills and an annual woman's exam with one appointment. She was judgmental about my conditions and told me she only had 20 minutes to answer my questions and complete my physical exam. I will never go back there and will NOT recommend this office to anyone.

FIRST VISIT WAS VEEY SURPRISED STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL AND UNDERSTANDING . I CALLED AND HAD A APPOINTMENT SAME DAY WHICH WAS GREAT. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH MY CHOICE AND WILL RECOMMEND DR.ALCANTARA AS A PRIMARY CARE TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY.

Back a few years I had him as a doctor. Was very helpful and didnt treat my diabetes as something deadly. He made sure I understood about it, and let me know if we worked together I could get off my meds. Well I ended up moving to another county and had to get a new doctor. When I returned back I went back to eduardo. Unfortunately everything changed over there, no longer were you able to get a quick appointment and be in and out. But they ended up not telling me I had an UTI until a week later when I had worse symptoms. I was upset they let me go untreated in which I had to go to emergency room. They have become careless and i am disappointed in them.

DR ALCANTAR I WOULD RECOMMEND. HE IS A GREAT DOCTOR BUT HIS STAFF IS HORRIBLE THE HAVE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. THEY DONT CARE HOW SICK YOU CAN BE THEY WILL NOT OFFER YOU AN APPOINMENT ON THE SAME DAY. THEY REFUSED TO SEE MY DAD BECAUSE HE WAS FIVE MINUTES LATE WHEN THE REASON HE WAS LATE IS BECAUSE WHO EVER SCHEDULED THE APPOINTMENT GAVE HIM THE WRONG TIME AND HE THOUGHT HE WAS EARLY. THEY TURNED HIM AWAY AND HE WAS THERE TO REFILL HIS DIABETES MEDS THEY DIDNT CARE OR APOLIGIZE THEY JUST OFFERED HIM AN APPOINMENT FOR ONE WK LATER, DAD TOTALLY OUT OF MEDS. THEY TAKE A VERY LONG TIME TO CALL YOU WITH REFERRALS.VERY RUDE STAFF BUT NICE PLESEANT DOCTOR

Ever since the nurse practitioner left, the office is much ran much smoother. The appointments are on time, you see the doctor and I love that there is a phlebotomist in the office. His staff is very friendly and helpful. Dr Alcantar is the only doctor that has helped me with my anxiety and allergies. You are a person to him, not just a number. He is what doctors should be.

Worst office staff ever, and no one seems to care about that. You WILL wate forever for your appointment but don't bother complaining, they could care less. If you get to see Dr Alcantar, rate, because usuually you see his worthless assistant, he is very good. He is caring, wants to help you, but to get to him, just not worth it. If you dont care about waiting 1-2 hours, this is the office for you. Too bad, the doctor is better than what he allows his staff to be.

Worse doctors experience in my life. Not on time, no doctor, and prescription was incorrect. My appointment was for 11AM and didn't start until 1230. Worse yet, the doctor was not even there to advise me, they sent a nurse practitioner who couldn't answer simple questions regarding asthma or anything related. Poor service, no apology for being late, not even a REAL doctor in sight! You might think that after waiting for more than an hour and a half they would at least send a doctor and not some inexperianced half wit practitioner. The presciption they wrote didn't even have medication strength written on it and the pharmacy wouldn't fill it until they heard from the doctors office. No one responded for over a week so I had to go to another doctor to get a new prescription. POOR POOR service. Save your money and time and find another doctor. Terrible service, not worth it if the appointment was free.

Dr Alcantar genuinely cares for his patients.. He is not a pill pusher and does not have a conveyor belt installed in the office. He takes his time with you, and gives sound advice. Sharing lifestyle prefrences and other personal information is handled with diplomatic and professional care. Couldnt ask for better..
