Dr.Hiben has been a wonderful doctor to our 10 month old son, Parker. We could not be more thrilled with his expertise, patience, and excellent bedside manner with our son, as well as with us. He always takes the time to thoroughly address all of our concerns. He even spent an hour explaining the pros and cons of vaccinations on our first visit, (new parents), letting us know what he strongly recommended, while reassuring us that he would fully support and respect whatever decision we made. As a bonus, his staff is always professional, polite, and helpful, and he always remembers my husband's and my name (and of course our son's), even though I'm sure he must have hundreds of loyal patients. I only wish he was a family practitioner!

Dr. Hiben takes care of both our kids (3 & 5). He will come in and sit on the floor and speak with the kids since they are always playing with toys when he comes in the room. The kids jump and climb on him and he rolls with the punches. Great bedside manner. Great approach. He's in medicine to help people, just to make millions (which peds don't make). Highly recommended. The staff is great. My kids actually like going to the Dr's office.

Dr. Hiben was assigned to us in the hospital when our son was born b/c our chosen ped was out of town. It was our lucky day in so many ways! He caught something few or possibly no one else would have noticed & saved our son's life. We have been with him for 18 months and we adore him. He is a gifted physician, funny, versatile, well-educated, GREAT with children, answers all questions, and never makes us feel stupid or guilty. I am comfortable talking to him about anything. He has a laid back style and is not overly aggressive in treatment or care, treating each situation individually. He listens to what we want and takes the time to educate us, helped us design a vaccine schedule we liked, and works with us on our holistic approach to health care. He gets us in quickly when we need him & office wait times are minimal. We appreciate his kindness, warmth, & gentle nature with our son. Our baby receives excellent care from Dr. Gene and we could not be happier!

I found him while at an OB visit, he came from Lakeland. i knew nothing about him, I went to visit him while still pregnant and I really enjoyed talking with him. He answered all my questions & did not think one thing about my list. He told me what to do when admitted(1st child) since i had no idea. After her birth he came to see her in the hospital, I had a c-sect & my husband was half asleep when Dr. Hiben came in, he noticed that she needed a diaper change 7 did it for us--not to many will do that!!!! I then started seeing him and I have been with him for 2 1/2 years, he gets down on her level and is not intimidating. He speaks in normal terms & he is very knowledgeable and is not quick to give meds(which is wonderful). The office is avail for some evening hours which is great for ppl who work or if dad wants to go. The office staff helpful and listens to you, follows up, & is very helpful. I enjoy this office and they are always avail. when needed. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Hiben is a rare find, he does care about the children more than the $$. I wish I could have him as my PCP.
