I wish I would have reviewed the ratings on him before traveling 6 hours to see him. Even the reviews from 5 or 6 years ago are accurate. He is very arrogant, doesn’t seem to have any compassion at all. He proudly admits he doesn’t get paid to see patients only teach. I suppose that is why he puts so little effort into doing that. He should have been a radiologist.

Dr. Okuda is the most professional, thorough, and genuine physician I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. Someone needs to correct his specialty to neurology, along with being well known internationally, and working in 5 countries. Any doctor worth his or her salt will conduct presentations alongside many drug companies---it is the most effective way to EDUCATE those with MS and their FAMILY members. I looked at all of Dr.Okuda's reviews prior to seeing him as I had been referred to a doc who had moved. Because of the negative reviews sprinkled lightly thru reviews, I was quite nervous and likely a bit reserved. I want to ensure people recognize the date of this positive review and don't swallow any review whole. I saw dr. Okuda on 05.17.2018, and I was positively floored at his willingness to educate without talking down to me, he answered all of my questions, and had wonderful bedside manner from the beginning to the end of the visit. I fully endorse Dr.Okuda and would refer any family member or friend to him. If you are the kind of person who needs to be fully agreed with, needs your hand held thru a meeting, or does'nt want one of the most acclaimed Doctors who is revolutionizing medicine in several areas, and created an medically based APP...then maybe you should reconsider seeing him as there are so many staff and patients alike who want to learn from him, grow as people, and be treated by him, to have the best quality of life, please avoid wasting an apt one of those who find him to be an EXCEPTIONAL doctor could use. However, if you have unanswered questions and want high quality, patient centered care delivered in a positive, environment--from the parking garage, to reception, nurses, lab techs and an amazing doctor...see Dr. Darin Okuda in the MS Center...if memory serves...he runs!!

Avoid! Enjoys doing Pharma presentations,terrible bedside manner,makes it clear he is not at UTSW for patient visits but research. No bedside manner and distasteful remarks made about a patient's judgement when ill.

Ehhh, don't wait 6 months for an appointment with this guy. He claims he is a research guy but more like a paid rep for drug manufacturer.

First visit today with Dr. Okuda. His staff was very friendly. Dr. Okuda was very professional, took an accurate account of my history, gave me the most thorough neurological exam I've ever had, explained everything he did and why, then made his recommendations based on my history and his findings. He's a straight shooter, which I much prefer over fluff.

Doesn't bother reviewing history, skims through tests. Very short, direct statements with a cold demeanor. Seems to not enjoy work with patients, very critical of other doctors, compassionate care or listening is not his forte.

Dr.Okuda is a doctor at ut southwestern medical ms clinical center. Watch out for this doctor! He does not even review your records and test. Thenhe makes a diagnose on his own option. Which he only has ten years of experience not all with patients. I have had MS for years and seen
alot of Neros. And had test done several times. He
said I did not have MS. My nero thats practice for
35 years said I did and have been seeing him for a years. I went to the clinic becauseyou have all the doctors for your problems with MS. Please be aware of this doctor. He goes off what he thinks not facts. Go back to school doc. and learn the right waynto do things.
