I had a colonoscopy with Dr Monkewich at Lions Gate hospital and had no issues. He was prompt; personal and professional.

Dr. Gregory Monkewich was appointed by Burnaby hospital to place the stent for my family member who needed an emergent help. For 3 weeks he was feeding us false promises to do the procedure and at the end he never showed up. THIS CAUSED DEEP EMOTIONAL AND PHYSICAL TORMENT FOR MY FAMILY WHO NEEDED HELP.
Other comments here are true that he is a ghost. I’ve never seen him in person or heard his voice on the phone. This information was delivered to me as his words by the staff of Burnaby hospital and his assistant on the phone. Which is why CEO of Burnaby hospital is either stupid and incompetent or too callous to care because they still keep him employed.
Be ready that his psychopathic assistant never answers calls and will try to gaslight you.
If Burnaby hospital or any other hospital will appoint you to Dr. Gregory Monkewich be sure that this is a death sentence. STAY AWAY! RUN! Change the clinic immediately!

his clinic never answers phone calls and if they call you, they don't like you ask questions and they will give you attitude, especially their receptionist. Do not waste your time with this doctor and his staff.

Dr, Monkewich was swamped with accident victims but worked me in to remove a stone in my liver. He got me in as soon as possible, and with the help of a half dozen very qualified nurses, completed the operation in very efficient time, He is very competent at very delicate operations,

I only saw him for 5 minutes to discuss my results and then he was rushing me out the door. I had other questions I wanted to ask but I didn't get a chance to. The receptionist never answers the phone. I get a message saying I will a call back in 24 hours, I have been waiting 6 months. I want to find a new doctor. I would recommend anyone to avoid seeing this guy, he is a quack

Super long wait for an appt. It's been 2yrs. If you don't call to follow up, you will never hear from them. What's the point of taking all the referrals if he can't see them all in a timely manner? The receptionist is so redundant in her work. How many times does she need to call to confirm an appt when it was just booked? Left so many messages but don't say what it's about. When you call back, no answer. It's frustrating and almost like a harassment. She can't do a simple task such as attaching a file in an email.

Is a ghost; does not exist. When he does choose to appear in his corporeal form it is only to condescend and stroke his own ego. Do not try and correct him about your own medical history or he will get defensive. Avoid at all costs.
