I have been dealing with knee issues over the past five years and have never had anyone overly seemed to concerned or interested in helping me. In and out of the hospital twice before with no indication of following up with me or sending me to a specialist I was frustrated and willing to just live with the pain. May 2014 I dislocated me knee worse then ever before. I was very reluctant to go into the hospital due to my bad experiences, however was forced by a friend. Once there I saw Dr. Labrecque and wow...what an AMAZING doctor. Not only was i treated with so much respect from him and his nursing staff, I was also given a referral to a sports med doctor. He is incredibly knowledgeable and extremely friendly. By far the BEST doctor I have ever seen in ER or ever for that matter. Thank you Dr. Labrecque for everything!! Keep up the amazing work. Its doctors like you that give patients confidence that there is someone out there that truly wants to help :)

I was so frustrated with my experiences with several other doctors pertaining to my condition which i was dealing with for over 2 weeks. When I finally got in (which wait times where a little ridiculous) I was helped by a nurse whose attitude made my day and shattered my grumpy attitude whether I liked it or not. On top of all this I was helped by Dr. Paul Lebreque, who was absolutely, and without a doubt incredibly helpful and straight to the point, but also very good at answering all my questions and concerns in a way that was completely relateable. I've never written a review for anyone or anything in my life, but I felt it was absolutely necessary too with regards to this experience. This trip has made me deeply consider a life as a health care professional. I wish everyone who needs medical attention could be lucky enough to deal with the two individuals I had the luxury of dealing with that evening.

I have spent two years going in and out of urgent care due to chronic infections not being treated properly. After seeing Dr Labrecque for the second time in two weeks I can honestly say that he is the only Dr I have experienced that did not make me feel like a hypochondriac, and seemed to be genuinely interested in the problem I had. When he didn't have an answer he looked to further testing, not just resigning the issue with a nonsensical explanation (like every other doctor I had experienced). I am thoroughly impressed and would recommend him to anyone. How sad is it that, in our healthcare system, a doctor who appears to care is such a shock.

I was very impressed with the entire staff at the Sheldon Chumir Centre and especially with Dr. Labreque. He genuinely took an interest in our challenge on this day and took the time to research what may have been causing some of the symptoms that were being experienced. For the first time, in a long time, I felt that we were being listened to, and genuinely a part of the overall solution being offered. I know that every doctor/specialist in this country is being overworked and I think we are extremely fortunate to have centres like this one, staffed by the incredible people I experienced today, to go to. Thank you Dr. Labreque and the entire nursing staff!

I had to get in to the clinic to see a Dr. after my holidays due to an ingrown hair which caused an infection. I was satisfied and confident after Dr. Labrecque had a look at it. I only hope that if I need to ever go back, it will be Dr. Labrecque I get to see......:)

Went to Sheldon Chumir clinic, hospitals always make me nervous, I was put at ease by Paul Labrecque who was very helpful, funny and had a way of letting you know/understand the situation in an easy to understand way.

On my recent visit to the Urgent Care Centre, I was taken in to see Dr. Labrecque. My first impression was not positive, based on the actions of the Doctor. He was snacking on potato chip and discussing other patients issues rather loudly in the waiting area. (I thought there is some patient/doctor confidentiality)During my diagnosis, he corrected me on what I should have said to describe the illness. Nothing was done or prescribed. Afterall, I only came in for a professional opinion. I was satisfied with the results until he made a comment as I was walking out the door...."She only wanted antibiotics" Now was that necessary? I didn't expect that! How rude and disrespectful of a man in a position of power and knowledge to slander such things. I just hope he hasn't affected the other patients that were also in that evening. Very poor service from the doctor indeed!!

Both times I've gone to the urgent care clinic I have had the pleasure of being treated by Dr Labrecque.He is very thorough and knowledgeable. Awesome bedside manner - great sense of humour and speaks in language the lay person can understand. Answers all questions without making the patient feel stupid.Also kudos to the nursing staff at this clinic - from triage, to admitting to Allison the LPN and can't remember the RN's name but it starts with R, they were just great! Also only 2 1/2 hours from start to going home. Sure beats the ER's in this city!

Had to go into the urgent care health centre in calgary with a scare that I had meningitis. I was freaked out but all the staff there...from Dr. Labrecque to all the nurses made me feel less fear and really listened to and cared for. If you ever find yourself there you will notice the superior service!
