I have been a patient with Dr. Pocinki for nearly 20 years. He is the *ONLY* doctor who has successfully treated me for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/FibroMyalgia/Orthostatic Intolerance and all the complications inherent in these complicated diagnoses. The fact that I am on my feet at all, I totally attribute to Dr. Pocinki. Dr.Pocinki was, and is a Godsend, and the only doctor finally, who worked cooperatively with me to obtain Disability income rather than be homeless, which was my only other option. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I was forced to relocate 4 hours away from him, and I make any possible arrangements to still travel 4 hours each way to see Dr. Pocinki. He's a Life Saver, IMHO. Thank you Dr. Pocinki!

Excellent doctor with an amazing memory and great at finding what is wrong with me. I feel very lucky to be his patient. He is a very patient listener. He is so responsive and works so hard. Really on top of things. Far better than any previous general practicioner or internist I have ever had. So lucky to be his patient.

Dr. Pocinki was recommended to me by a support group in No. Va. for CFIDS/FM. I can't say enough about how helpful, kind, supportive and thorough he is. He is very up to date on current research for CFIDS/FM and more. He's willing to listen and believe me when one treatment is not working, then we try another. He treats me with respect, meaning that I have the intelligence to discuss my treatment options as well as research that I read. He gives me an hour of his time and I never leave feeling that it wasn't worth it. His mind is active the entire time listening to my comments and trying to decide what course of action to take next for my pain, fatigue and sleep disturbances. I live 90 min. away from him or he would be my full time doctor. He's rated as one of the best in DC and I can see why. He's the best doctor I've ever had.

Curious about the RX mistakes. This is unusual dor Dr. Pocinki. He found several things wrong with me that were missed by many other doctors. He took the time (an hour like the rest of the folks) to ask, listen and explain everything to me. I have gone to him for the last 10 years and have yet to find another doctor in any med. field quite as good as he is. I trust him and he has been there for me when other doctors just blew me off. When I lived in NY, I flew to see him every three months. I now live in NC and still fly to see him every three months. Most important appt. I have is with Pocinki. As for the RX mistakes, he may have had a bad day OR, he knew the meds better than the inserts as his brain (and vast experience) is a PDR in itself. He has yet to make a single mistake with me. Unusual, since I normally walk out of all other doctor's offices ready to scream.

a nice person, but significant mistakes with prescriptions caused me to leave his practice. questioned him, after reading package insert for one rx he'd prescribed, and his response was, "good catch." another rx was contra- indicated for my situation. and another, he admitted making a mistake and gave me rx. 3 strikes, you're out, the good old american way. (and getting medical records from his office is a challenge.)

He is brilliant. His mind operates like 50 huge computers linked together. Had it not been for Dr. Pocinki I would have been dead on several occassions. He has spent ONE HOUR with me for the last 14 years. WHO DOES THAT? He listens, cares, and is just brilliant. By far the best physician I have dealt with and I've seen about 60 physicians for a severe genetic disorder. He is truly the very best there is. Thank goodness I found him.

I agree with the previous ratings. Dr. Pocinki has an excellent personal disposition. His appointments typically last one hour and are very intensive. He is a careful listener and very empathetic. His knowledge of the most current research and treatment approaches to CFS/ME is impressive and reassuring. He is straightforward but tactful. Becuase of my illness, getting to his office is a challenge but well worth the trip and the expense.

Dr. Pocinki is very friendly and professional. He met me in the waiting room and introduced himself with a handshake. He took a very detailed medical history and asked pertinent questions. He answered my questions patiently and thoroughly. He seemed to value my own concerns and offer me multiple choices in treatment. The examination itself was very thorough and he explained things as he went along. The staff were friendly and the wait was minimal. The facilities were clean and pleasant but the exam room was a bit more cluttered than I expected. Dr. Pocinki found (common sense) problems that many other doctors had overlooked. A great doctor!

This is the very best physician of any specialty I have ever been to. He is a brilliant internist who also treats CFIDS/FM. Conservative in his approach but not rigid. Has literally saved my life on several occasions. Just a brilliant physician and a decent, kind human being. People, including myself now, travel across the country to see him. I am now flying back to DC just to see him. He is that outstanding. Wish the rest of the doctors practicing were 1/4th as good as this man. Just brilliant...
