Excellent. I was in pain for over a year and thought I had carpal tunnel. Dr. C. tested me for lymes and I tested positive. After treatment I felt like a new person. Dr. C. does not give up but tests until he has a diagnosis that fits and then treats. I am a nurse and this is the bvest doctor I have ever had.

I had insurance but he didn't take the kind I had, it was good insurance, but he just didn't accept that kind. I wasted so much money on him and I am well versed in my disease, Chronic Neurological Lyme and I feel that I knew more than he did. His staff has ALWAYS been rude, from the nurses (in particular Sue, to the front desk people. And never dare talk about pain to him, he will dismiss you as a patient and when his treatment fails (only after 1 month, mind you, he sends you a letter out of the blue and dismisses you as a patient. I also have co-infections and he was SUPPOSED to address them first, which he did not. I don't care how far you have to drive, do not go to this doctor, look him up on other rate the doctor sites, his reputation is horrible. If you go to a certain Lyme disease support group, they praise him only because you aren't allowed to talk bad about their precious Lyme docs, he seems nice and gentle but if he can't heal you, he blames it on you (especially Sue)-RUDE

I was also "dumped" as his patient all because I challenged his "boss" Sue over a fee she wanted to charge me that was a lie. A "phone" fee that didn't exist. "Dr." Sue... the nurse... is the real boss and her B... attitude affected the entire staff. She evidently has Cichon's balls.. while he overdosed me on Rocephin almost making me loose my gallbladder, then dumped me in a letter and I never got anything from that Clinic of Angels tax shelter of his.

Cichon (I wouldn't even put "Dr." in front of his name) has to be one of the most uncompassionate, unprofessional & irresponsible doctors I have ever heard of. I was constantly concerned about the lack of care that my Mother-in-law received from both him & his mean-spirited staff. I urged her to change doctors, but she was "older" & I think afraid of change, so she stayed with a doctor that gave her, in my opinion, substandard care & bad medical advice. When my Mother-in-law passed away in January of this year, after being a patient of Dr. Cichon's for over 20 years, his office did not even bother to send a sympathy card when other doctors who had seen her for a lot less time did have the common decency to send condelences. When her daughter called to cancel a scheduled appointment after her death, she was treated so rudely that I find it hard to fathom. She was VERY rudely informed that they already knew & then they HUNG UP on her! They should all be ashamed of themselves.

Dr. Cichon should lose his license. I agree with all the negative comments on the website--horrible/rude office staff, long wait to see him. He threatened to drop my mom after 27 years because she didn't want to pay a $100 bill that Medicare told her she was not responsible for. She was a loyal patient so she paid the money anyway. Mom kept visiting complaining of pain in her sternum bone. Dr. Cichon said it could be a cancer. Without any referrals for additional testing to assist in confirming a diagnosis, Mom continued to suffer. One year later, Mom consulted a specialist at USF who ordered testing and the diagnosis was multiple myeloma. My mom died two weeks later. Moffit Cancer told us Mom could have been treated with chemo and lived 4-5 more years had she had early diagnosis of the disease. When I (her daughter) called Dr. Cichon's office to notify them my mom had died, they were horribly rude and said "we know, we saw it in the paper," and then they hung up on me.

I was dumped via letter because I required pain medication for my Lyme symptoms. He wanted me off my 1 pain medication and when I quit taking it but couldn't take the pain anymore, I went back on it, I don't know how he found out, but he knew I filled it the exact day because the letter he sent to me was dated the exact day I filled my rx. 2 days later, I received a letter to go into REHAB! lol. He dumped me and lots of other patients, about 15 that I even know of. And don't get me started on his nurse SUE. Clinic of Angels my behind.

Dr. Cichon saved my life. After 5-7 doctors, he finally diagnosed me: Lyme and Babesiosis. It kept recurring so it took 3+years to finally cure me. But I *am* cured now, thanks to him and his staff. He takes time with each patient, so there is often quite a wait. He's worth it. He also works in patients with emergencies, which happens often with Lyme. This also creates a longer wait time. But again, it is worth it. He is extremely experienced, knowledgeable, compassionate, professional, and respectful of his patients. He is excellent at diagnosing illnesses. He approaches the problem like a detective, investigates every symptom and doesn't quit until he finds the answer. He's informative too. I found it helpful to have someone with me at appointments. He also encourages family involvement. Dr. Cichon never gave up and was always full of positive encouragement. I can't thank him enough. Without treatment, I would've lost everything. I'm now married and planning a family!

Dumped me in a letter too! No explanation...unprofessional. I guess a lot of doctors are dumping us Medicare patients but I expected more from him! People change I guess.

He was my doctor for 10 years!! I loved him and counted on him to help me through my dx of CFIDS. All of a sudden one day I got a letter in the mail that he no longer wanted me as a patient!! I was traumatized!! I cried for days...Ithought that was such an unprofessional thing to do especially to a 'sick' person...what happened to "first do no harm?" Could he not have told me in person, after a 10 year relationship? This incident set me back and I told my family I grieved losing my doctor more than my 20 year marriage! I don't think he realized the damage he did to all the patients he did this to (Medicare only???) all in the name of the ALMIGHTY DOLLAR!!!! THANKS DR CICHON....I never did find the strength to write the letter I've had in my head and heart...and finding this site, I now have closure.
