Many years ago I went to Cichon for Lyme and he prescribed antibiotics which were actually worms. Yes, when I split one of the capsules of his so called antibiotics, there were large round worms inside. Staff nurse took a long time to draw blood, as if she was checking with someone else about my case. I do not like to be experimented on without my consent, example the worms. I got worse after seeing him two times and getting his so called medicines. I cured myself through a lot of research.

He started out as a very compassionate Dr treating my husband and I for CFS/Fibromyalgia but then insisted that we be tested for Lyme disease (very expensive/not covered by insurance). We both tested positive for same strain of Lyme disease. I was put on Mepron and an antibiotic for 12 days before having a major allergic reaction so treatments had to stop.
My husband was treated with constant IV’s of Rocephin for over 2 mths straight in 1998 with NO improvement of symptoms but was left with chronic fungal ear infections to this day 1/2018, and cannot get any water in his ears or causes a huge infection. Dr Cichon eventually became frustrated with us because we weren’t responding to his treatments. (As if we had any control over that!). He also gave my husband Provigil to boost his energy in 2000 and it caused irreversible essential tremors which greatly effect his speech and ability to work. He didn’t intend harm but never once expressed concern that this life changing side effect occurred. This dr couldn’t accept that there is no cure for CFS and was bound and determined to pin all symptoms on Lyme disease. But very suspicious that he said there was only one lab in the country that could test for Lyme and to my knowledge, everyone’s tests came back positive. You can learn a lot by talking with other patients in the waiting room. He needed to retire!

Anyone know where our patient files were sent after Dr Cichon retired? I can't find my records, the staff at his old location don't know either.

I beleive that Dr. Cichon probably saved my life. When I stared seeing him I was totally at wits end. He treated me for 12 months. I had eleven bands to start with and all the side infections that go with Lyme. After the 12 months of intense treatment I had one band and none of the side infections. He knows what he is doing and has be doing it a long time. Thank You Thank You ThankYou. I can not beleive he is no longer able to practice because he helped people with Lyme. WHAT KIND OF COUNTRY IS THIS?????? People need to pull their heads out of their butts because Lyme is not going away and will will eventually effect you or someone close to you, it's just a matter of time.

Dr. Cichon's expertise took my teen from bedridden to walking when no one else (including Shands and Mayo ) could do a thing to help!!!
A year after he retired she became ill with same disease again. Oh, how i wish he would come back from retirement to help. He was the sharpest, safest, wisest doctor we have seen in 4 years of hell. He is an Angel and a gift from God. Come back to us Dr. Cichon the world needs you!!

He saved my life, when no one else would even listen to me. I am not completely well from Lyme, etc. and don't know where to turn since he has retired, but I am so thankful he helped me and the other members of my family as much as he did before he had to retire. Staff had their issues, but then we Lymies are not the easiest lot of patients to deal with, when NOTHING functions for us, mentally or physically. My post appointment instructions were always written down for me, which no other doctor's office will ever do for me even if I ask repeatedly. -this is critical when neurological impairment is part of the illness. They take great pains to coordinate care with PCPS, again something few other doctors I have had bother to do. I wish him and his staff the very best.

Dr. Cichon was the best! I was a patient for 20 years, so sad to see him retire. He was one of the best Lyme doctors in the country and wasn't afraid to take on other hard to treat cases such as CF and Fibromyalgia. You could tell he truly cared about his patients and wasn't in it for the money. I do agree with other posts, his nurse Sue and the office staff could be extremely rude. However, nurses Angel, Kathy, Lee and Teresa where great. I would not recommend going to the doctor who took over his practice he was not helpful at all.

Dr. Cichon treated me for lymes for 12 yrs. He retired & I don't know who I'll find to treat me now. He had an excellent staff. He always went over my labs & test with me, took up as much time as needed with me, I drove about 90 miles to his office ( in the beginning someone had to drive me). You knew he really cared about you, he always did lab work to make sure any medications I was taken wasn't doing any harm, if a lab test came back high he would take me off whatever medication might have caused the problem. I will always be grateful that I found such a wonderful Doctor & his treat
ment of me.
