Agree that this doctor, Terence McAlllister is just TERRIBLE and is absolutely harmful to the health of the children he is the primary care physician for. My son is taken to see this doctor by my ex wife. Since he was 5 years old his (my son's) weight has been been dangerously high. His bmi, every year, rates him as obese - which, according to all other doctors and the CDC makes him liable to heart disease, diabetes, circulatory disease, joint problems, asthma (which he of course now has)..and depression. When I the weight issue Dr McAllister dismissed it completely. By the time he was 9 years old, he had to wear pants or shorts made for 16 years olds, in the largest size and XXLarge. But still the doctor said that there was "no problem" he was a "healthy boy" and saying anything about the weight could "cause problems for him". Now my son is15 years old, about 5'5" and he weighs well over 200lbs. WHen he was little he was great at all sports, especially swimming, now he just plays computer games all day as he isn't able to do anything physical, he can't even dive off the edge of a pool because his stomach is so huge he can't bend. The way he looks has totally affected his social life and self esteem - he doesn't wash his hair or face, and since he sweats all the time because of the huge weight his skin is terrible and he smells. He did really well in school when he was little, now he standardly fails classes. All the things that could have been avoided for him. The person with the story of how McAllister totally ignored the issue of her son's non descended testesl should look into legal action.
