My sister was a pt. of his for years. yes he did take excellent care of her for years then all of a sudden last year her scheduled appointments got put off and off and eventually she ended up in the hospital in another town and was transferred to OU Medical Center in December 2010. Dr. Targoff was made aware of her admission and only came to see her 1 time the entire time she was there which was 25 days. Amazing because the meds that he had her on was what was causing her to be so ill. I would call his office and leave a message for the nurse to call me. She did a couple of days later. we played phone tag for a few days and then I said forget it. We now have new Drs. who took the time and made the effort to find out what was wrong with her as she already had an autoimmune disease. These new physicians are wonderful and we are so grateful to all of them. It is really sad that he didn't come see her more than that one time. He is no longer her physician.

World-respected researcher, excellent clinician and physician. If you have a complex rheumatic disease--particularly polymyositis--you couldn't find a better doctor anywhere. He is absolutely brilliant as well as very kind.
